Kiboy, one of the rosters from ONIC Esports, admitted that he often disagreed with Zeys during the training session for the 2023 SEA Games Men's MLBB national team yesterday.
Yesterday, the 2023 SEA Games Men's MLBB National Team presented players from different esports teams. One of those chosen is a player whose real name is Nicky Fernando Pontonuwu.
On that occasion, he also had the chance to feel himself on the same team as Zeys. He also admitted that he often disagreed with the man from Singapore, during training for the 2023 MLBB SEA Games national team yesterday.
Kiboy Admitted That He Often Argued with Zeys During the 2023 MLBB SEA Games Training Session
Kiboy said this when he appeared on Empetalk in which the video was uploaded on Jonathan Liandi's YouTube channel.
“At first, three weeks before the SEA Games, I had a lot of fights with Zeys. It's not a fight, it's like a difference of opinion because, in my opinion, I'm really far from him (regarding our views)," he said bluntly.
He also gave an example of what made him differ from the former trainer from EVOS Legends.
"Like small things, for example, on the micro-scale. I played Khufra and was given tips from him, but those are very basic things. I already knew that, it's just that my way is different," he said.
He also said that he had a language barrier when talking to Zeys.
"Then he (speaks) in English. It's just that my English isn't that good, and he speaks too fast too, so I don't understand. It wasted a lot of time until finally, we found a way (solution),” he said again.
The roamer also admitted that what Zeys did was different from ONIC Esports.
“So, simple things become complicated for him. It's different at ONIC where complicated things are made simple. The coach and the players immediately connect. That's what surprised me during the SEA Games because what I know is that Zeys is experienced, and has already won the world several times, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. Maybe in my opinion, he is more towards a different way of training, he is the type who works hard," added Kiboy.
