The VTuber world has recently had the arrival of three new VTubers from Hololive ID on 27 March 2022. The three new members of the 3rd generation of Hololive ID are Vestia Zeta the mysterious secret agent, Kaela Kovalskia the great blacksmith, and Kobo Kanaeru the rain charmer. Of those three members, Kobo Kanaeru has been gaining the most attention from VTuber enthusiasts with her cheerful demeanor, and the nickname ‘Kobokan’ (finger bowl), these two things have propelled the VTuber to popularity.

The name Kobo Kanaeru derives from the word Kobo (こぼ), which means to spill, and Kanaeru (かなえる), which means to grant. Combined, the name roughly translates to spill water to grant requests. Kobo Kanaeru is a joyful girl whose birthday is on  December 12 and lives in the topmost room of a lighthouse. She comes from a bloodline of the strongest rain charmer/shaman in the area. She decides to live at the lighthouse to train her skills daily and to prove to her family that she can keep their rain charmer service running.

Aside from her striking blue hair, Kobo is also a talented VTuber. Aside from being fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, she also speaks English and Japanese. She even knows HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. She showed these skills in her character presentation in the form of a webpage she made during her Stream Debut. On top of that, Kobo also loves to sing, even made her own jingle titled "Rain Mantra", which she composed herself.

Just like other VTubers during a Stream Debut, Kobo also revealed her likes and dislikes to her audience. According to her, she loves meatballs, matcha boba, anything horror, basketball, rainy weather, and music (she claims that she can play 6 different musical instruments). Whereas her dislikes are math, vegetables, reading long text, swimming, and the one thing she hates the most: spiders. 

So, what do you think about this VTuber? Isn’t she charming? If you’re interested in watching her streams, you can expect to see more streams from Kobo, as she’s also a fan of FPS games, such as Valorant and Apex Legends. Yet it’s still possible for her to try other games. Aside from gaming, she also promises to have a free talk, singing or karaoke, language learning, cooking, ASMR, and even horror streams. 

Aside from gaining popularity among VTuber fans, she also managed to attract the attention of those who weren’t familiar with VTubers. Her playful and cheerful demeanor has given her quite a lot of followings, which has been reflected in Kobo’s chat column during her Stream Debut. 

The VTuber world always comes up with unique and fresh characters. So, it’s not that surprising to see that more and more VTubers are gaining more attention with their distinct traits.
