Koei Tecmo America revealed the exciting news that the strategy game that many people have been waiting for, Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII, will get a digital remake.

This game will be available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC platforms via Steam in early 2024. In this latest version, players can expect impressive graphic improvements and changes in the game system.

The remake will be based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII which has been expanded with the Power Up Kit expansion, and will include exciting features such as "All Officers Play" and "All Periods Scenarios". To provide further insight into the game, Koei Tecmo plans to release additional details during the Tokyo Game Show event on September 22nd 2023.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII was first released for PC in Japan in 2001, then adapted for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable platforms. In North America, the game first appeared in 2003. Koei Tecmo also introduced an expansion edition of the game, Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII with Power Up Kit, which is now available on Steam North America, although only with Japanese and Chinese language options. .

For additional information, Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV, the newest entry in the franchise, has launched for PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch. This edition first arrived in North America in February 2020.
