On Wednesday (13/08), Agate held a press conference regarding its latest strategic collaboration with PQube, a game creator, publisher, and distributor company that has collaborated with many local game developers in Indonesia, including one of them, Agate.
This time, Agate and PQube are working together again to continue their strategic partnership by announcing a new game which is currently being introduced as "Project D" or "Project Dead", a new IP project belonging to PQube where Agate is again trusted to be a partner in making this IP This is entirely motivated by the success of their previous collaboration and of course Agate's capabilities as a game developer in creating games on an international scale.
Agate and PQube believe that through Project D they can provide a more immersive gaming experience for gamers around the world. Cipto Adiguno, Chief Strategy Officer of Agate, said that collaboration in the gaming industry is very important because it is a form of improving their quality and standards in creating work that can be accepted throughout the world.
Apart from that, this collaboration is also important as a form of digital economic distribution which makes Agate one of the best exporters of digital products in Indonesia as proven by winning the Primaniyarta award in 2022. Of course, this collaboration is also carried out by Agate the largest game development company in Indonesia to empower local game developers to gain global recognition.
Starting from a meeting between Agate and PQube at the Gamecom 2022 event yesterday, which ultimately led them to the same vision and goals to be achieved in creating games with the market they want, until now there has been a collaboration between Agate and PQube through the Intellectual Property (IP) project entitled "Project D".
Previously, Agate and PQube first met at the Tokyo Game Show in 2017 which then led to their first collaboration, namely Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story in 2018 as the first game based on the PlayStation 4 and Switch. Agate became the first local developer who led to many collaborations between PQube and other local developers, they then continued with this collaboration until the creation of Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2, the game of which was just released on June 22 2023 yesterday.
At the moment there is not much information that Agate or PQube can divulge regarding Project D. However, with this latest IP project, it will be a more immersive game and bring a breath of fresh air to locally made games which are of course targeting global popularity.
