10 Video Game x Luxury Brand Collaboration You Might Miss
Some of the following well-known brands have collaborated with video games to present luxury products or promotional events.

Since the early 20th century, the fashion world has grown rapidly, both women's and men's fashion. This is also coupled with advances in technology and the flow of information that is increasingly advanced, which is one of the causes of the fashion world reaching all levels of society. 1. Seiko - Pokemon
In 2020 and 2021, the Japanese watch brand Seiko collaborated with the Pokemon franchise. In November 2020, both parties worked together to design three watches based on three Pokemon characters, namely Eevee, Mewtwo, and Pikachu. In 2021, Seiko and Pokemon will continue this collaboration by creating watches featuring three other Pokemon characters, namely Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
The uniqueness of this collaboration watch is the detail seen on the dial, including the image of the ball used to catch monsters in the Pokemon series or Pokeball near the number nine indicator. The date window is near the three-digit indicator, followed by the Seiko watchmaker's logo next to the window. Two subdials near the number 12 and number six indicators, each decorated with a background depicting the first and second forms of Pokemon monsters.
2. Balenciaga - Fortnite
Fortnite also turned out to be a place to introduce fashion trends from Balenciaga. In 2021, fashion house Balenciaga collaborated with Fortnite’s developer, Epic Games, to present a collection of fashion products in the virtual and real world.
Fortnite players can not only choose from new Balenciaga outfits and accessories, but can also enter the in-game Balenciaga shop. Users who make purchases and play in the new Balenciaga interface can also submit photos of characters for inclusion on virtual billboards in Fortnite's town square.
3. Tag Heuer - Super Mario
In mid-2021, luxury watch company Tag Heuer teamed up with video game and console company Nintendo to release a Super Mario edition of luxury smartwatches. This Connected smartwatch series from Tag Heuer looks to have a bezel decorated with detailed elements from the Super Mario game itself, such as Super Star, pipes, to Super Mushroom.
The Super Mario smartwatch will run Google's Wear OS operating system. The features in this smartwatch include the Google Play application, music controller, agenda, as well as sports and golf applications. There will also be widgets from Google Suite, such as calendar, e-mail, weather, and notifications. Like other Tag Heuer Connected smartwatches, this Super Mario smartwatch is also equipped with Tag Heuer's signature feature, namely Wellness. The price for this exclusive smartwatch is also quite fantastic, which is around USD 2,150 or around Rp. 31 million.
4. Acronym - Death Stranding
Ahead of the release of Death Stranding, Kojima Production is also collaborating with fashion techwear Acronym by Errolson Hugh. The result of this collaboration resulted in an official techwear jacket for USD 1750 or USD 1900 or around Rp. 30 million, even though it was very expensive in fact the jacket was sold out in an instant.
This jacket is not a new model, but takes one of the pieces from the best-selling and best-selling jacket from Acronym, namely the J1A-GT added with Death Stranding detailing. To make the collaboration detailing stand out more, Acronym features a yellow chest pocket as a replacement for Bridge Baby from the game version. There are even some logos from Death Stranding on the shoulders, hands and back.

5. Marc Jacob and Valentino - Animal Crossing
The fashion house Marc Jacobs and Valentino also showcased clothing designs for the game series Animal Crossing: New Horizons in 2020. These two luxury fashion brands present a series of clothing collections specifically designed for the characters in the game. Valentino released an exclusive Animal Crossing look with 20 cute characters from Spring/Summer 2020, and a pre-fall 2020 collection. Meanwhile, Marc Jacobs took to social media to announce that they had created six designs for the game in cute colors.
6. Louis Vuitton - Final Fantasy XIII
In 2015, there was a buzz with the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Square Enix. The collaboration features Lightning, the main character of Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII, as a model in their latest ad campaign.
In the campaign, Lightning was not played by a model who dyed her hair pink to resemble Lightning in the game, but a digital image which was then styled with product images from Louis Vuitton like a handbag.
7. Louis Vuitton - League of Legends
Not only with Square Enix, Louis Vuitton has also collaborated with Riot Games, for League of Legends in 2019. This collaboration presents various collections ranging from watches, jackets, bags, hats, to sneakers with Louis Vuitton motifs and a touch of blue, white, and gold to represent League of Legends. Not only fashion products with fantastic designs, this collaboration also presents the skins for the two champions, Senna and Qiyana.
8. Casio - Pac-Man
The well-known Japanese watch manufacturer, Casio, also introduced a new Pac-Man special edition watch last year. Casio Pac-Man A100WEPC was designed in partnership with Japanese game development company Bandai Namco. By design, this Pac-Man edition watch is a "reborn" version of the F-100 series of watches that Casio launched in 1978.
In appearance, the screen of this watch displays the Pac-Man map which is dominated by a dark color. There are also several small ghost characters in the area. But of course, these characters are only images and cannot be played. In Japan, this Pac-Man edition watch will only go on sale in August 2021. The price is 12,100 Yen or around Rp. 1.5 million.
9. Moschino - The Sims 4
The Sims franchise is no stranger to the fashion industry. They have done several collaborations with various brands such as Diesel and H&M. The Sims also collaborated with Moschino on The Sims 4.
One of Moschino's fall and winter collections featured a line of clothing inspired by The Sims' Freezer Bunny pixels. Several Moschino designs are also brought into the game with the Moschino Stuff Pack.
10. Hot Topic - Assassin's Creed
Lastly, Hot Topic is a fashion brand that focuses on the music and pop culture industries. One of the famous products is the collaboration with Ubisoft for the Assassin's Creed franchise. In 2020, at the height of the Assassin's Creed popularity, Hot Topic released a collection inspired by the popular video game. Some of them are in the form of jackets and tops whose styles match the personal styles of Aguilar, Maria, and Ezio.
