The Rivals Week is here, which also marks the arrival of the Legendary Pokemon, Therian Forme Landorus. The Legendary Pokemon is making its debut in Pokemon GO. Landorus Therian ‘The Abundance Pokemon’ is one of the most anticipated Pokemon among the three Forces of Nature, Thundurus and Tornadus, as Ground-type Pokemon tend to be more formidable.

As a Ground-type, Therian Landorus can only be bested by the yet-to-be-released Mega Garchomp & Primal Groudon, and the hard-to-obtain Shadow Mamoswine (from team Rocket) with higher cost for its Power-Up.

In other words, without Mega Energy and a certain form, Therian Landorus is the best choice for a Ground-type Attacker. In fact, Legendary Groudon’s DPS (Damage per Second) is less powerful compared to Landorus Therian. However, Groudon is much superior in terms of defense, so it’s less easy to get fainted, which makes its TDO (Total Damage Output) better.

Not just as a Raid & Gym Battle Ground-type attacker, Therian Landorus is currently the Top No.1 General Pokemon in Master League PvP Battles.

With quite flexible movesets Mud Shot (Ground), Super Power (Fighting) & Stone Edge (Rock), Therian Landorus has become the most picked Pokemon in Master League. Prepare some XL Candies if you want to make Therian Landorus can be Powered Up to Level 50.

Therian Landorus is of the Ground & Flying type. So, your best bet is by using Water & Ice-type attacks to counter it. To defeat it quicker, use Ice-type attacks for the 256% boost.

Some of the best counters for it are Galarian Darmanitan, Mamoswine, Weavile, Glaceon, Jynx, or Mewtwo an Ice-type moveset.
