The newest movie in the Doraemon franchise, Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Chikyu Symphony (Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Earth Symphony) in 2024, has released a teaser trailer which reveals the official broadcast date of this movie as March 1st 2024. In this Doraemon film, there will be a new character that will be played by Kyoko Yoshine, who was previously famous in live action roles such as Princess Jellyfish, Seven Days War, and Kasane.

This new character is named Miina, a successful singer from abroad who plays a key role in the story of this movie. Apart from that, the teaser also introduces two other new characters: Mikka, a girl from the music-filled planet Mushiika, and Chapekku, a robot from the same planet who takes care of Mikka.

This movie will have a musical theme that accompanies the adventures of Doraemon and his friends in meeting new friends and exploring the power of music to save the world from a threatening crisis.

The movie will be directed by Kazuaki Imai, who has previously directed other Doraemon movies such as Nobita's Treasure Island and Nobita's New Dinosaur. The screenplay for this movie will be written by Teruko Utsumi, a writer who also contributed to the Doraemon anime series.

The original cast members from the Doraemon anime series will reprise their roles in the movie, including Doraemon's iconic voice actor.

The previous Doraemon movie, Doraemon the Movie 2023: Nobita's Sky Utopia, which is the 42nd movie in the franchise, was a huge success in Japan, ranking first in its opening weekend. The movie managed to sell more than 542,000 tickets in just its first three days of broadcast, with revenues reaching around 663 million yen (around Rp. 66.3 billion). With this success, this latest movie is highly anticipated by Doraemon fans all over the world.
