The popular live-action series Alice in Borderland by Haro Aso on Netflix announced 6 new cast members for its second season today (20/06). The new cast members include Yuri Tsunematsu as the high school student Heiya, Tomohisa Yamashita as "King of Clubs" Kyūma, Hayato Isomura as Banda, Kai Inowaki as Matsushita, Katsuya Maiguma as Yaba, and Honami Sato as Kotoko.

The second season of Alice in Borderland will premiere on Netflix in December 2022. The first season of the live-action series debuted on Netflix in December 2020. The series has been a massive success, reaching the Top 10 in 40 countries worldwide. Shinsuke Sato will continue to direct Season 2, and the writers from the first season, Yoshiki Watabe and Yasuko Kuramitsu, will return for the next season.

This live-action series is an adaptation of the manga version. The manga follows Ryohei Arisu (pronounced the same as "Alice" in Japanese), a high school student who’s sick with his daily life. One night, he and his juvenile friends, Karube and Chota, go hang out in the town. When they arrive, the town gets covered in giant fireworks. After he gains consciousness, Ryohei Arisu realizes that no one else is around. They find themselves in a different world. Eventually, Ryohei, Karube, and Chota are forced to take part in deadly survival games. The three teenagers fight for their lives, as well as to find a way to return to their world.
