Luke MLBB's Trivia
1. Early Career in the MLBB Competitive Scene
Like many star players who have made their mark at the MPL level today, Luke also began his career playing in the MDL (Municipal League of Legends) level. Initially, Luke went by the name "Givenchy" and joined Geek Fam ID Jr. At that time, Luke began his career in MDL Indonesia Season 5. Unfortunately, Luke's career at that time was not very bright, and as a result, he remained largely unknown. Luke's journey in the MDL was short-lived, and after one season, he was promoted to the MPL.
2. Promotion to MPL, Struggle with Geek Fam
Although his career in the MDL wasn't particularly bright, Luke's potential began to be noticed by management, and Geek Fam promoted him to the MPL. Unlike the other players, Luke immediately played alongside two of Geek Fam's import players from the Philippines: Janaaqt (Hadezz) as Jungler, and Baloyskie as Roamer. Unfortunately, despite being promoted to the MPL, Luke's career didn't immediately shine. He failed to secure a playoff berth with Geek Fam.
Slowly, the spark of a revival began to ignite. Playing in MPL ID Season 11 in early 2023, Luke, along with Geek Slate (at the time Geek Fam had changed its name), performed brilliantly throughout the Regular Season and ultimately, Geek Fam advanced to the playoffs for the first time. This was certainly a source of pride, especially with the presence of import players. The genius of Baloyskie and his teammates elevated the team's standing at that time.
Despite their brilliant performance in the Regular Season, Luke and Geek Slate were eliminated in the play-ins round. A fierce battle against EVOS forced Geek to accept their defeat. The 3-2 defeat eliminated Luke and his teammates. The struggle didn't stop there. The following season, Luke and Geek Fam consistently achieved top results in the Regular Season and Geek Fam, repeatedly qualifying for the playoffs. Not only did they qualify, but Geek Fam also demonstrated rapid improvement.
3. Qualifying for the M5 World Championship, Luke's Career Peak
Unlike the previous season, where Geek Fam had to go home in the play-ins round, Geek Fam shone in season 12. They defeated DEWA United Esports in the Play-Ins round and even defeated RRQ Hoshi, earning Geek Fam the title "The King's Slayer." Unfortunately, Luke and his teammates lost to ONIC in the Upper Bracket Finals and dropped to the Lower Bracket Finals. However, a resurgence was truly within Geek Fam. Luke and his teammates successfully defeated Bigetron Alpha in a fierce duel to secure the second spot representing Indonesia at the M5 World Championship.
As runners-up in MPL ID Season 12, Luke and his teammates performed brilliantly at the M5 World Championship. Smoothly advancing through the Group Stage, they were ultimately stopped in the Knockout Stage. Geek Fam secured a win against Burmese Ghouls and then dropped to the Lower Bracket after being defeated by AP BREN. Unfortunately, Geek Fam's journey in M5 ended at the hands of Blacklist International. Luke and his teammates' debut at the M5 World Championship was quite memorable.
Luke ultimately spent his final season with Geek Fam in MPL ID Season 13 in early 2024. In his final season, Luke and Geek Fam once again nearly reached the MSC 2024 Esports World Cup. Geek Fam finished third, and Luke finally bid farewell to Geek Fam and began a new chapter in his career.
4. A New Chapter with Bigetron Esports, A Meaningful Season
After leaving Geek Fam, Luke joined Bigetron Esports. Luke replaced Xorizo as EXP Laner. At Bigetron, Luke once again worked alongside another Filipino import, Emann. Luke's performance at Bigetron was almost as good as his previous Geek Fam performance. Advancing to the playoffs of MPL ID Season 14, Luke and his teammates dispatched Alter Ego in the Play-Ins round. Unfortunately, they were relegated to the Lower Bracket by Team Liquid ID.
Luke then dispatched his former team, Geek Fam, in the Lower Bracket. Once again, their progress was halted when they faced Team Liquid ID, and Luke and Bigetron Esports were forced to miss the international M6 World Championship. The following season with Bigetron, Luke welcomed a new teammate, also from the Philippines, as Roamer Light. Here, Luke also had a flashback to playing for Geek Fam alongside two imported players.
Unfortunately, in MPL ID Season 15, Luke and Bigetron Esports' journey wasn't so smooth. After qualifying for the playoffs, Luke and his teammates were eliminated by Alter Ego on the first day. This defeat ended Luke's dreams with Bigetron of advancing to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup. In Season 16, Luke finally decided to take a break for the season and become a streamer. This marked Luke's first season without competing in MPL.
5. Become a Streamer, Join EVOS for MPL ID Season 17
Leaving the competitive scene for a while, Luke switched from player to talent at Bigetron by Vitality. Luke's position on the team was replaced by Shogun, a new Bigetron by Vitality player from KAGENDRA. During his transition to talent, Luke filled his time by streaming and restreaming MLBB Esports competitions, including MPL and the M7 World Championship. Not only that, he also occasionally accepted collaboration invitations with other creators on their YouTube channels.
Finally, the call to compete returned to Luke. His passion for competing with other players was still there. As a result, Luke decided to return to the competitive scene. Despite his status as a Talent at Bigetron, Luke surprisingly chose to return to play for a different team. He then joined EVOS, and Bigetron by Vitality management announced Luke's move to EVOS on loan.
