Apart from anime and manga, Japanese food also has its own appeal for Japanese or anime fans around the world, including Indonesia. Sometimes when we are watching anime or reading manga there are times when we are interested in tasting the food the characters are eating. Images of food that looks neat with various beautiful and attractive colors encourage us to try it.
But there's no need to worry because we can find it in Indonesia. In fact, there are many Japanese food outlets and restaurants that can be found anywhere. The cooking ingredients are not difficult to find if we want to make our own Japanese dishes.
The taste of Japanese food which suits the Indonesian tongue is the reason why Japanese food is so famous here. Not only delicious, Japanese food is also rich in protein.
List of Japanese Food in Indonesia :
1. Ramen
Ramen is a Japanese food made from noodles in a broth that has many flavor choices. Medium sized ramen noodles with yellow color. Ramen is usually served with various toppings such as boiled eggs, seaweed, meat and vegetables such as corn, mushrooms and others.
2. Sushi
Sushi is a type of food made from rice mixed with various types of fish, meat and raw vegetables. But if you don't like served raw, then you can try cooked sushi. Sushi is usually dipped with wasabi and soy sauce to add more flavor.
3. Takoyaki
Takoyaki is a type of Japanese street food. Made from flour and stuffed with pieces of squid or octopus then added with sauce and katsuobushi. If you visit Japan, takoyaki can be found on roadsides, festivals or night markets.
4. Onigiri / Rice Ball
Onigiri is a Japanese food that only requires 2 basic ingredients, namely rice and nori or seaweed. Or you can also add toppings as you wish such as eggs, chicken, salmon, etc. As the name suggests, onigiri is made by rolling it into a ball shape. Because it is practical, onigiri is often used as a lunch menu item.
5. Dorayaki
If you are a fan of Doraemon, you will definitely be familiar with this food. Doraemon's favorite food, the robot cat who came from the future to help Nobita.
In its original country, this cake is included in the category of traditional Japanese cakes.

6. Chicken Katsu
Chicken Katsu is a typical Japanese crispy fried chicken. Made from chicken thighs fried using panko flour.
It's best served while it's still warm so the crispy taste is still there, and add tonkatsu (pork) sauce to taste.
7. Miso Soup
Miso soup is often served as a breakfast dish. Made from a combination of miso paste and dashi stock, then white tofu and seaweed as a complement.
8. Yakitori
Yakitori is often referred to as Japanese chicken satay because it is grilled using a skewer. The only difference is the size of the meat. Yakitori has larger meat sizes and does not need to be marinated. The seasoning is usually applied when the yakitori is cooked.
9. Sukiyaki
Sukiyaki is usually served in a large pot filled with sauce with complete fillings such as sliced meat, noodles, tofu and various vegetables served together.
The sauce for sukiyaki only uses soy sauce and sugar.
10. Unagi
Many people think that unagi is a type of eel, but unagi is actually a Japanese food made from eel fish. Unagi tends to taste sweet and savory, and does not have a fishy smell.
Cooked by grilling for 10 minutes after seasoning with sake and salt. Once cooked, unagi is usually smeared with a sweet sauce.
