In the 24th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, this time, it was revealed that Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (Sousou no Frieren) manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe will go on another hiatus starting from the publication of the 25th issue of the magazine, precisely on the date next May 15.
However, it has not been revealed how long the manga will continue serializing the story again. Even though the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga just returned from its hiatus in the combined issue of the 22nd and 23rd magazine on April 24 after a one-month hiatus.
The manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa launched in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in April 2020 and continues to this day. The series was previously on hiatus and returned to serialization in March 2023. Shogakukan published the manga's first compiled book volume in August 2020. Currently, the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga has reached more than 17 million copies spread throughout the world.
The Frieren: Beyond Journey's End anime itself premiered in September 2023, and premiered with a two-hour special on September 29 last year. The anime was produced by Studio Madhouse and managed to attract extraordinary popularity among anime fans.
The story of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End tells the story of a wizard from the elf nation who has just finished defeating the Demon King along with her fellow adventurers and bringing peace to their land. However, since then, her colleagues have become increasingly old, and she has slowly been abandoned by her friends. This moved Frieren to begin her journey again in search of the meaning of life.
On this journey, Frieren meets new people who become his traveling companions and rediscovers the true meaning of life while reminiscing about memories with her hero friends.
