Recently, Tencent Games surprised PUBG Mobile players by announcing the new map, Karakin. Coming in April, here are 10 things you need to know about Karakin in PUBG Mobile.

Out April 7

At the PUBG Mobile 3rd Anniversary celebration which held at March 21, Tencent Games announced that the Karakin map would arrive on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

Available First on PC

PUBG players on PC are certainly familiar with this map. This dry place that is inspired by the North African region and its vicinity, has been released since January 2020 on the PC version and will also be carried over to the mobile version as well.

Replacing Vikendi

Reporting from the PUBG Mobile Indonesia Instagram account, Karakin will appear as a replacement for Vikendi. For those of you who are still not satisfied playing at Vikendi, then you have to play it until you get bored before April 7!

Has 2x2 Size

Currently, PUBG Mobile has 5 maps, namely Miramar, Erangel, Sanhok, Vikendi, and Livik. Karakin is predicted to only have a size of 2x2, as well as being the smallest map in PUBG Mobile along with Livik. As a comparison, Miramar and Erangel maps have 8x8 in size, Vikendi has 6x6, and Sanhok has 4x4.

Has 6 Locations

Due to the small size that this map has, there are not many locations that you can browse in it. Based on the PC version, Karakin is predicted to have 6 locations to appear in the mobile version, namely:

• 4 major cities: Al Habar, Bahr Sahir, Bashara, Hadiqa Nemo;
• 1 small town: Al Hayik;
• 1 major landmark: Cargo Ship.

Can Hold Up to 64 Players

PUBG Mobile maps usually can accommodate up to a maximum of 100 players, however, Karakin can only accommodate up to 64 players or 16 squads. This makes the game run relatively fast, as well as the matchmaking time.

New Feature: Demolition Zone

In the Beta version, Karakin has a new feature, the Demolition Zone. This zone is marked in purple on the minimap along with a siren and will appear randomly during the game.

The Demolition Zone will attack the buildings in it, and can even destroy them. This will be very dangerous for the players, as well as challenging, so you have to strategize yourself to avoid it.

New Feature: Bullet Wall Penetration

As the name suggests, Bullet Wall Penetration makes player's bullets penetrate the thin walls on Karakin. So this is not a cheat, guys!

New Item: Sticky Bomb

Still related to penetrable walls, there is a Karakin's special item, namely Sticky Bomb. Place this bomb on the wall of a building, then the bomb will immediately destroy the walls to reveal the enemy behind.

New Weapon: Panzerfaust

Every time a new update comes, new weapons become one of the most eagerly awaited. The Panzerfaust is predicted to come together with the Karakin map and other new features. The function of this weapon is also not much different from Bullet Wall Penetration and Sticky Bomb features. This anti-tank weapon can launch rockets that explode target it hits and gives an area-on-effect (AOE) damage and can be used to destroy building walls as well.
