RRQ Hoshi Problems That Need to be Fixed, For Real!

What are RRQ Hoshi's issues that need to be fixed ahead of the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup?

The results received by RRQ Hoshi in MPL Indonesia Season 15 (MPL ID S15) may not be that impressive, especially for the Kingdom. RRQ Hoshi suffered another defeat in the Grand Final and as a result, they became runners-up again in MPL ID S15 some time ago.

Who knows what the problem or obstacle is for RRQ Hoshi, every Grand Final match is always a big rock that prevents them from achieving glory. In fact, the last Grand Final match that RRQ Hoshi managed to win was when they defeated ONIC in MPL Indonesia Season 9 (MPL ID S9) 3 years ago.

Talking about the quality of the players, there is no need to question it. Actually, in the Grand Final of MPL ID S15, RRQ Hoshi was superior. However, "almost" is not enough for the King, and this 'nightmare' must not be allowed to continue. RRQ Hoshi really has to solve their problems.

What is holding RRQ Hoshi back in the Grand Final? What aspects should RRQ Hoshi improve in order to achieve glory at the upcoming MSC 2025 Esports World Cup as Indonesia's representative?

RRQ Hoshi's Problems That Need to be Fixed, All Lines Must be Fixed!

Talking about RRQ Hoshi's problems that need to be fixed, there are various aspects and lines that need to be considered. In the MLPP podcast on the WAHAI Entertainment YouTube channel, panelists such as KB, Mirko, and Age provided various inputs that could help RRQ Hoshi so that they can develop further.

Here are some of RRQ Hoshi's problems that need to be fixed:

1. Expansion of Hero Power/Hero Pool

Hero selection is an important aspect in every MLBB match. Indeed, every player has a hero that is their strength (hero power) and that is a good thing. However, it is even better if players master various heroes in their hero pool.

The hero pool needs to be expanded so that the impression is that the player is not playing the "same" hero, aka fixated on one hero. For example, in the podcast, KB suggested that Idok play tank or support heroes like Estes to boost the performance of Tank Jungler.

"Tank Jungle is buffed, there is Estes who can be used. I don't know, Idok (can) be strong without using healer heroes? So that can be exploited later for (playing) internationally," said KB. Another example can be seen in Toyy, who seems too dependent on Granger. This can be fixed by expanding the hero pool where considering ONIC's Gold Laner, Savero, can master 3 to 4 Marksman heroes and play them well.

2. Sutsujin Must Shine at Important Moments!

In the MLBB game, Jungler does play an important role where he must be the backbone or a player who can help the team to eliminate opponents and save crucial moments. If the Jungler cannot give his best game, then other players will have difficulty.

This can be seen in RRQ Hoshi where their Jungler, Sutsujin, seemed less conspicuous in important moments such as the Grand Final. Therefore, Mirko saw that this needed to be fixed and also improved so that in the future he could become a 'savior' for RRQ Hoshi like the famous Junglers of other teams.

"I have discussed it quite deeply, if it's from RRQ's problems, even from when they lost against ONIC PH in the Snapdragon Grand Final. In the video I discussed RRQ's biggest problem at that moment, which was Sutsujin. When we discussed playing against elite teams, Sutsujin did drop, I don't know why," said Mirko.

"I don't know because his Jungle defense is at that level or his mentality is not strong. But, Sutsujin can't be a player (who does) clutch in important moments for now. Hopefully he can develop in the future," added Mirko.

Maybe in the future, there needs to be improvements to Sutsujin so that he can become a player who can 'help' the team when facing crucial times. In the future, it is important for management to pay attention to this or to prevent the same mistake from happening again, another Jungler is worth considering.

3. Get Rid of Strange and Burdensome Mindsets

The thing that RRQ needs to fix apart from the two previous factors, is their mindset or way of thinking when competing in the Grand Final or in any match. Mirko, saw that there was a strange "mindset" related to RRQ Hoshi that made them the same as "Passive AE" in MPL ID.

"This is what I see, I don't know why this pattern has been strange from the start. Like 'passive AE' I see it as a new narrative from myself. RRQ is more focused on 'proving people wrong than winning'. During M1, they wanted to prove they won without (banning) Harith. During M4, they wanted to prove they could beat Blacklist without (banning) Estes. Last season, they wanted to prove that they were not Skylar-centric. This season, they want to prove that they are not Idok-Dyrennn-centric. There is always something that stops them, even proof from individuals," explained Mirko.

It is important for RRQ Hoshi to get rid of these kinds of mindsets if they want to win the Grand Final and all matches. Avoid the mindset of 'proving' or appearing to want to show off something. Focus on winning, then that is more than enough to win the title.

What do you think? Are there still problems with RRQ Hoshi that need to be fixed so that they can develop further in the future? Hopefully, with input from the MLPP panelists, Sang Raja can show better development in order to make Indonesia proud at the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup.
