Nongshim Redforce, a Valorant team from South Korea, made history by winning the Valorant Masters Santiago on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Nongshim Redforce's 3-0 victory over Paper Rex marked a new milestone for Dambi and his teammates, marking their first international championship in their career in the competitive Valorant scene. Previously, Nongshim Redforce Valorant had never won a title.
Being a team competing in an international competition for the first time was no problem for Nongshim Redforce Valorant. Throughout the competition, they defeated all opponents, not only from the Pacific region, but also from other regions like EMEA, the Americas, and even China. That was the ruthless performance Nongshim Redforce Valorant displayed at Masters Santiago 2026. So, who are they? Curious about the fascinating story of Nongshim Redforce Valorant? Read the full review here.
The Beginning of Nongshim Redforce Valorant
Nongshim Redforce Valorant's emergence began in 2023, when they were a Korean Challenger team competing in the local competitive scene. The Nongshim Redforce Valorant team's status is similar to that of Indonesian teams like BOOM Esports, Alter Ego, and other Challenger teams. Deemed ready to present a new challenge, Nongshim Redforce acquired Sin Prisa Gaming (SPG), consisting of Dambi, Francis, Ivy, Margaret, Persia, Mobugi, and SilKanoN (Coach).
For your information, Sin Prisa Gaming (SPG) won the VCT Ascension Pacific 2024 after defeating BOOM Esports in Jakarta, Indonesia. Nongshim Redforce Valorant officially acquired Sin Prisa Gaming and will compete in the 2025 VCT Pacific season, where the winning team from the Ascension competition will be promoted to the Partnership League. On the same occasion, BOOM Esports from Indonesia also received this privilege.
A Rough Debut in VCT Pacific 2025
As a new team in VCT Pacific 2025, Nongshim Redforce Valorant's journey wasn't always smooth. They finished fourth in the Group Stage and advanced to the playoffs. However, Dambi and his teammates were still a step ahead of other partner teams like ZETA Division and Team Secret. NS's journey in the VCT Pacific 2025 Playoffs was also quite bumpy. Their progress was halted by TALON in the Lower Bracket Round 1, dashing their hopes of advancing to Masters Toronto.
Playing in VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2, NS's journey wasn't as smooth, but they showed significant progress. Finishing third in the Group Stage, they advanced to the playoffs. Unfortunately, NS faced another difficult road, being defeated by TALON in the Upper Bracket. Dropping to the Lower Bracket wasn't a problem, as NS managed to defeat Detonation FocusMe (DFM). However, NS's run ultimately ended with Dambi and his teammates being defeated by T1 and eliminated from VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2.
Relegation and Return to VCT Pacific 2026
While Nongshim Redforce's Valorant performance was visibly good, statistically, their performance proved less than satisfactory, leading Riot Games to relegate Nongshim Redforce to VCT Ascension Pacific 2025. NS, along with BOOM Esports, returned to the Ascension competition and had to reclaim their spot in VCT Pacific. This certainly presented a significant challenge for both teams to reassert their worth.
Nongshim Redforce, performed convincingly at VCT Ascension Pacific 2025 and managed to regain their ticket to compete in VCT Pacific 2026. On this occasion, they recruited former DRX player, Goo “Rb” Sang-Min and also young star Jung “Xross” Hwan which further increased the power of NS's game. In the end, Nongshim Redforce returned to compete in VCT Pacific 2026 where they managed to qualify together with the SLT team (which was later acquired by VARREL).
The Greatest "Comeback" in the VCT Pacific
Entering the 2026 VCT Pacific season, the "Triple-Elimination Bracket" format has been implemented. This new format certainly presents challenges for each team. However, this "challenge" does not seem to apply to Nongshim Redforce Valorant, as they appear more solid and resilient with their new roster as they face the 2026 VCT Pacific season. They have defeated various renowned opponents, including Team Secret, T1, FULL SENSE, and most recently, Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ).
The victory over Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) secured NS's place in their first international competition, Valorant Masters Santiago, as the first representatives from the Pacific region. Besides NS, the Pacific region is also represented by T1 and Paper Rex. It was a great start for NS's rise in the competitive Valorant scene at VCT Pacific 2026, and a testament to the "comeback" of Dambi and his teammates, who had previously endured a rocky path.
Nongshim Redforce Wins Valorant Masters Santiago 2026, Continuing the Tradition!
Maintaining their consistency from the VCT Pacific Kickoff 2026, Nongshim Redforce put in a convincing and impressive performance at Valorant Masters Santiago 2026. Starting their journey in the Playoffs, NS was undaunted by their opponent, Gentle Mates, a breakthrough team that had also impressed in EMEA. Gentle Mates were defeated 2-0, sending NS through to the next round. Next, NS faced G2 Esports, one of the top teams in the Americas.
Unlike Gentle Mates, NS faced some resistance from G2 Esports. However, this didn't deter Ivy and her teammates from winning the match. The 2-1 victory took NS one step closer to the Grand Finals. In the Upper Bracket Finals, Nongshim Redforce faced the 2025 Valorant Champions, NRG. Undaunted by the world champions, NS defeated NRG 2-0, securing their spot in the Grand Finals.
Finally, Nongshim Redforce faced Paper Rex, a fellow Pacific team. With a convincing performance in every match, NS managed to leave Paper Rex feeling dejected. Dambi and his teammates ultimately secured a 3-0 victory, marking Nongshim Redforce's historic victory as the champions of Valorant Masters Santiago 2026. This victory was certainly significant, considering that Pacific teams have consistently won Valorant Masters titles.
