The Valentine event in Pokemon GO which starts on February 8 2023 brings many new surprises. The first is Mega Evolution Gardevoir which was finally released in Mega Raid Battle. You can fight Mega Gardevoir in Raid and if you win you will get Gardevoir Mega Energy as Mega Evolution fuel for your Gardevoir. If you're lucky, you can also get Shiny Gardevoir from the Mega Raid battle.

To face Mega Gardevoir who has the Psychic & Fairy type, you should use Poison, Steel, or Ghost attacks to get a 160% boost damage. Use pokemon like Mega Gengar, Nihilego, Dialga, Giratina Origin, Mega Scizor, and Excadrill.

Mega Gardevoir is currently the strongest Fairy-type Pokemon Attacker with the Charm & Dazzling Gleam moveset. Mega Gardevoir can also be used as a Psychic attacker. So don't miss your chance to get Gardevoir Mega Energy from the Mega Raid battle before the Mega Raid Boss is changed.

Mega Evolved Gardevoir will last for 8 hours, after that it enter Rest Period for about a week to be able to Mega Evolve again without Mega Energy. If you want Mega Evolution during the Rest Period it will consume Gardevoir Mega Energy.

Besides that, Legendary Tapu Lele also released its shiny through this Valentine's event. Tapu Lele has the same type as Mega Gardevoir, so you can use the same team to fight this Legendary Pokemon. If you manage to beat Tapu Lele, you have the chance to catch Tapu Lele and if you're lucky, you can get Shiny Tapu Lele.

In the Valentine event which takes place from February 8-14, there is a bonus of 2x the stardust when opening gifts from friends and Lure that lights up for 2 hours (though normally it only lasts 30 minutes). Evolving Ralts/Kirlia to Gardevoir or Gallade will get a special Community Day Psychic type Synchronoise moveset.

Pokemon that appear a lot like Nidoran, Skitty, Volbeat, Illumise, Woobat, Frillish, and Flabebe. Frillish also released its shiny for the first time at this event for both forms. The male Shiny Frillish is green and the female is dark pink.

On February 11, 2023, from 14:00 to 17:00 local time, there will also be a Luvdisc Limited Research event. The way to play is to visit a Pokestop to complete the Luvdisc quest. You have a bigger chance of getting Shiny Luvdisc in this event, so don't miss it especially for those of you who don't have it yet.

Also enjoy interesting pokemon spawns such as Slowpoke, Lickitung, Miltank, Lilleep, Feebas, Spritzee, and Alomomola which you can hunt for shiny ones. Don't forget to catch as many Lickitung as possible in order to get the XL candy because Lickitung is one of the best Meta of Pokemon PvP Great League for now.
