In League of Legends (including League of Legends: Wild Rift), there are five roles available, the roles are top lane, jungle, middle lane, attack-damage carry (ADC), and support. Each role has its own job to ensure the team’s win. If you want to start learning about the roles in League of Legends: Wild Rift, check them below.
Top Lane
This role is excellent if you love having a 1v1 against your opponent since the one that plays this role is crucial for destroying the enemy’s tower or act as a split pusher.
A top lanner usually uses the Teleport spell to do their job. It can be used to return to the lane to protect the tower or for a more efficient split pushing; it can also be used to save a teammate in another lane.
As easy as it sounds, you need to make the right decisions! Don’t miss out on the crucial moments and make a fatal mistake.
Jungle
Just like is most MOBA, the job of a jungler is to help the lanner, so they don’t lose. There’s an additional job for the jungler in League of Legends: Wild Rift, and that is to kill the dragon to get various buffs for the team.
Doing this will also impact the team’s gold, so it will help your teammates to get their items quicker -- especially the ADC that needs the damage that comes from the items.
Middle Lane
Middle Lane in League of Legends: Wild Rift is typically filled with heroes that have an area of effect (AoE) skill. The players in the middle lane should clear the minion wave efficiently, so they can help the other lanes. So usually, mage heroes with massive burst damage are placed in the middle lane.
Attack Damage Carry (ADC)
ADC is the primary weapon of a team. Although most ADC is a marksman, it doesn’t mean that a melee hero can’t be used for this role; in an example, Yasuo or Garen, that’s the current meta (the playstyle based on the update in the game) for ADC on the PC version.
Most ADC is placed on the bot lane, along with support that acts as the protector/helper.
Support
As mentioned in the point above, support is crucial since support should protect the ADC. Aside from protecting the ADC, support also acts as an informant that gives information about the opponent’s movement, ultimate skill cooldown, and spell.
The other job of support is to set the pace of the team, or as the playmaker. Because of all of these jobs, the responsibility of a support player is massive.
