The monthly Community Day event in Pokemon GO returns this month on 25 June, Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM local time. The long-awaited Shiny has eventually featured on Community Day.

It’s Deino, The Irate Pokemon! The Dark & Dragon-type Pokemon has been long-awaited by Trainers. That’s mainly because this Pokemon is particularly rare, especially in its Shiny form. But now, it’s almost certain that you’ll get this Pokemon during this event.

Catch as many Deino as possible, as its Candy and XL Candy are very valuable. Don’t forget to evolve your Deino/Zweilous between 11 AM and 7 PM to get the Special Moveset Brutal Swing (Dark) for your Hydreigon.

During this event, eggs require 75% less distance requirement, you’ll also receive 2x Candy from catching Pokemon, 2x easier to get Deino XL Candy, more Special Trades, and a 50% less Stardust requirement for Trades.

Use Incense and Lure Module during this event as they will last for 3 hours. If you manage to catch enough Deino using one Lure Module at a Pokestop, a Zweilous will spawn as a bonus.

After the 3-hour Deino event, you get to learn about the new mechanics in Pokemon GO. It’s a Bonus Raid Boss Zweilous challenge that will trigger Deino spawn. Zweilous will appear as the Tier-4 Raid Boss.

If you manage to defeat it, Deino will spawn within a 300-meter radius from the Gym for 30 minutes. You will also get a chance of catching Shiny Deino.

Bear in mind that this Raid requires a Free Raid Pass or Premium Raid Pass ticket, meaning that you’ll need to be at the Gym, and won’t be able to use a Remote Raid Pass. Work with your friends to defeat Zweilous before 7 PM.

So, that’s the new mechanics in Pokemon GO. Previously, 3-hour Community Day events received many criticisms as players felt that the duration was too short. Therefore, Pokemon GO made it 5 hours, but it requires Trainers to do Raids on the spot alongside their friends.
