Konami continues to make massive improvements to their football game, Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). Even in the 2020 edition, Konami made a slight modification of the name to eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020. The ‘eFootball’ appendage is based on the reason that Konami wanted to emphasizes the growing esport industry.

The game that was once called Winning Eleven may continue to offer features year after year. But certainly, for you long-time fans of PES will always have special memories toward one of the classic PES series, especially PES 6.

In that edition, Konami created a referee named Kazuki Ito. The name may sound familiar to you who have played this game from the earliest years. Considering the Japanese referee was known for being “ruthless” in leading the match. Even Kazuki Ito wouldn’t hesitate to issue a red card for minor fouls.

Become The Most Feared Referee

His generosity in giving out red cards certainly makes gamers have to be careful in a match led by Kazuki Ito. In fact, the circle button that we use to perform sliding tackles might as well considered as forbidden for you to use if you don’t want to lose any players.

However, Konami stated that Kazuki Ito is just a fictional character in PES 6. If there’s happen to be a similarity with any referee in the real world, it is just a mere coincidence.

Not The Only Referee in PES 6

Among PES 6 fans, the name Kazuki Ito, does ring a bell. Though he’s not the only referee in PES 6 series. There are other refs, such as Johan Jansen, Cart Hewitt, Jose Trueva, and Martin O’Brien.

The last name is the absolute opposite of Kazuki Ito. Martin O’Brien rarely issues yellow or red cards. Even if you look closely, the Irish referee smiles pretty often.
