This anime focuses on a defense force tasked with eradicating monsters or kaiju from the face of the Earth. The protagonist, Kafka Hibino and his friends are in charge of eradicating the Kaiju.

Kaiju No.8 Storyline

This series tells the story of a world attacked by terrifying creatures known as Kaiju. Kafka Hibino has a dream to join the Japanese Defense Force to fight them. He promises his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro, that together they will wipe out the Kaiju. 

But due to various things that happened, they were forced to part ways and Kafka abandoned his ambitions. Today, Kafka works at Monster Sweeper, Inc. a professional cleaning company that focuses on cleaning up after battles with Kaiju.
