My Hero Academia is one of the most popular anime series with a massive following. So, it’s not that surprising to see the series gets numerous video game adaptations. Aside from the fighting game My Hero One's Justice, there are also several spin-offs on mobile such as My Hero Ultra Impact, a 3-on-3 RPG with a gacha feature. The series will also get another video game adaptation with My Hero Ultra Rumble, a battle royale game from Bandai Namco.

My Hero Ultra Rumble was first revealed in the Japanese issue of Weekly Jump. It’s a multiplayer battle royale with 24 players, each team consists of 3 players. The game features the characters from the beloved series, such as Katsuki Bakugo, All Might, and Izuku Midoriya/Deku, alongside the villains, like Tomura Shigaraki. Bandai Namco also recently revealed the newest trailer video, which provides some details regarding the battle royale game.

The trailer video features Midoriya, the main protagonist, at the USJ Training Facility with his team, Bakugo, and Todoroki, in a 3-on-3 battle. Bandai Namco also announced that each hero in the game will have their own skill set. For example, Midoriya can run around the map and use a whip to swing across buildings using his One For All quirk.

Bakugo can walk fast with Explosion to propel himself into the front row of a fight. Whereas Todoroki can summon sheets of ice for himself and his teammates to run across. The trailer also shows Midoriya and Bakugo entering third-person shooter stances to use their quirks.

Another interesting point from the trailer is the villains who will be available in the game. Tomura Shiragaki, Himiko Toga, Dabi, and Mr. Compress will be available in My Hero Ultra Rumble. Other pro heroes such as Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Usui can also be seen in the trailer video.

My Hero Ultra Rumble will also be having a Closed Beta Test, where players can sign up to have a chance to participate. Although this game is set to be multiplatform, the closed beta will only be available on PS4. My Hero Ultra Rumble is currently being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The release date for this game is yet to be confirmed.
