SRG OG once again reaffirmed their status as the undisputed kings of Malaysian Mobile Legends. In the MPL MY Season 15 grand final, they swept HomeBois 4-0 in dominant fashion. This wasn’t just a lopsided scoreline—SRG OG demonstrated strategic depth that few teams in the region could match.
One of the biggest highlights came from an unexpected hero pick on the grand stage: Nana. SRG OG’s mid laner, Stormie, locked in the cute yet often underrated Mage in games two and three—and the results were phenomenal. Once thought to be a hero reserved for casual ranked games, Nana proved effective at the highest level of MLBB competition.
Stormie went off in Game 2. With a staggering KDA of 7-0-11, his Nana tormented HomeBois' backline. Her burst damage and zoning via Molina Smooch forced opponents to hesitate before committing to any engagement.
Even more impressive, in Game 3, Stormie played a flawless Nana—finishing with a KDA of 0-0-8. This performance reflected not only his discipline but also how well Nana functioned as a ranged damage-dealer with excellent spacing and support utility.
Nana Emerged as a Viable Pharsa Alternative
Nana wasn’t just about raw numbers. In Stormie’s hands, she became a terrifying pickoff tool. Precise Molina placements disrupted enemy movements and forced out battle spells like Purify. Her presence altered the way HomeBois approached teamfights and even draft decisions.
In addition to pickoff potential, Nana proved effective in large-scale skirmishes. Her area damage and zoning from Molina and Molina Blitz allowed SRG OG to control the tempo of every teamfight. In clutch moments, Nana’s ultimate delivered the finishing blow or zoned out key targets.
This pick gained even more significance considering the current MPL meta, where Pharsa has remained a top Mage choice. However, SRG OG showed that Nana could serve as a strong burst-damage alternative when Pharsa was banned or unavailable. With her high mobility and vision control, Nana no longer belonged on the troll tier list.
SRG OG have long been known for their out-of-the-box drafting. But choosing Nana in a grand final—and winning two games convincingly with her—served as solid proof that the hero deserved a spot in pro play.
Stormie’s performance opened eyes. Nana isn’t just a meme pick or a comfort hero for casual games. In the right hands and the right team composition, she can disrupt even the most structured professional squads.
With this result, it wouldn’t be surprising to see other MPL teams start to consider Nana in their drafts. SRG OG and Stormie have unlocked the door—it’s just a matter of who’s bold enough to walk through and embrace this evolving meta.
