Netflix Reportedly Making a New Live-Action Pokemon Series
Adding to the long list of video game adaptation films, Netflix is rumored to be releasing a live-action Pokemon series soon.

Detective Pikachu live-action film, which was released two years ago, received a positive response. With that in mind, Netflix seems to be working on something that might interest you. According to Variety, the streaming giant is developing a live-action Pokémon series.
Citing Variety, until now there has been no detailed information about the series. A source only explained that Joe Henderson will be involved in the series as an executive producer and scriptwriter.
Henderson is not new to Netflix. Previously he was known as one of the creators and executive producers of Lucifer which will end soon in the sixth season in September.
This project is also rumored to be similar to the live-action Pokémon film released in 2019, Detective Pikachu. The film, which starred Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith, managed to become a box office hit, grossing USD433 million (approximately Rp. 6.2 trillion).
The live-action Pokemon project is another step for Netflix to make more video game adaptations. Netflix also already has film adaptations of popular video game franchises, such as The Witcher and Castlevania. So, the live action Pokemon series is likely to be a great opportunity for Netflix to continue the success of its video game adaptations.
