Until now, the One Piece anime is still running and is being worked on by Toei Animation studio. But suddenly Netflix announced that it will make a One Piece remake entitled The One Piece and is being worked on by WIT Studios. WIT Studios worked on several popular anime such as Attack on Titan and Spy x Family.

Reporting from Comicbook, this remake from Netflix aims to reimagine the adventures of Luffy and friends from the East Blue arc. There is no information yet on when The One Piece will air. Interestingly, Netflix is also working on the recently announced second season of One Piece Live Action.

The second season of live action will tell the Drum Island to Alabasta arc. Oda had given a teaser about a doctor who would join the Straw Hats. Who else if not Chopper? Most likely we will also see the figures of Smoker and Crocodile who are users of Logia's power in this second season.

There is also no news about how many episodes of The One Piece will be worked on by WIT Studio. Another goal of this remake is to introduce One Piece to those who haven't followed it from the beginning, so that the animation presented can be accepted by today's audience who are used to epic graphics.
