The new Lord effect in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is one of the biggest changes in the March 2025 patch update. This adjustment is expected to alter the tempo and overall gameplay.

The Lord is one of the most crucial objectives in the game. Logically, securing the Lord should bring a team closer to victory.

However, recent strategies have challenged this notion. Many players have realized that securing the Lord is meaningless if their team gets wiped out immediately after, leaving no one to escort it to the enemy base.

Moonton has acknowledged that the Lord’s respawn interval in the late game is too long, while the early-game Lord (around minutes 8-12) is too weak to have a significant impact.

As a result, a major change has been introduced. The new Lord effect in MLBB could change everything—even a team that’s behind could pull off a convincing comeback simply by securing the Lord at the right moment.

New Lord Effects in MLBB (2025)

Neutral Lord: The Lord’s respawn interval after minute 18 has been reduced from 3 minutes to 2.5 minutes.

Summoned Lord: The Lord will now evolve at minute 18 instead of minute 12. However, from minute 8 onward, it will already have the ability to damage turrets—though its true damage will only be 30% of the turret’s max HP.

Post-18 Minute Lord: After 18 minutes, the Lord will have the same effect as the previous patch’s Evolved Lord.

"In the late game, the Lord will spawn more frequently, making it easier to close out games. As compensation, the Lord will be able to charge from minute 8 onwards," explained KB in his patch update content.

"I feel like the Lord is now an absolute priority—it must be secured. Its impact is huge. Just getting one Lord could turn an entire game around."

"Securing the Lord is crucial because it significantly increases our pushing power. Games might now end around the 18-20 minute mark since the Lord becomes even stronger at that point, drastically shifting the game's momentum," he concluded.
