In Black Clover episode 102 you will not only see Hage getting attacked by an elf but also a flashback of how Asta and Yuno begin their journey to be a Magic Knights. Check some of the facts in this episode!

1. The Beginning of Asta and Yuno’s Journey 

The episode will have a flashback about Asta and Yuno. When they are considered old enough, both Asta and Yuno travels to the Clover Kingdom to participate in the Magic Knights test. Not too long after that, Yuno and Asta send a letter to their family in Hage.

Sister Lily and the pastor assumed that Yuno will pass the magic Knights test easily and assumed that Asta will fail the Magic Knight test. Their assumption is normal since Asta doesn’t have an ounce of magic running through his body.

But Asta defies their expectation because he passed the Magic Knight test. With the Grimoire he got from his journey, Asta got an anti-magic sword that he can use for fighting.

2. First Meeting with Julius

Not too long after Asta joins Black Bull, Asta doesn’t know the one who is the Magic Emperor of Clover Kingdom. Even Asta called him an adult with fancy clothes. Klaus got mad at Asta and told him that Julius is the Magic Emperor of Clover Kingdom, Julius Novachrono. 

3. Asta vs Ladros

When they went to the Witches’ Forest to find a magic Stone, Asta met a new enemy from the Diamond Kingdom named Ladros. Ladros can absorb magic and he absorbs Salamander’s mana to make him stronger.  But thanks to the Black mode, Asta defeat Ladros by using his technique Black Meteorite.

4. Asta and Yuno Proofs Themselves 

During a Festival held in the Clover Kingdom, Julius called the two rookie Magic Knights that stood out. But the citizen didn’t believe that a commoner like the two of them have incredible skills. Being underestimated, Yuno shows off his ability by attacking Asta But Asta quickly repels the attack.

They shock the citizens with their display of power. Since then the citizen of the Clover Kingdom no longer differentiate commoners and the nobles.

5. Asta’s New Sword

The pastor is badly injured because of the Poison Plant magic. Asta’s sword can't erase the magic because magic is no longer affect the poison attack. Asta that wanted the Pastor to stay alive manage to call up a new power by summoning a new sword. It was the sword used by Licht in the past.
