In the previous episode, Nero recounts her past since she first met the first Magic Emperor, Lumiere. Lumiere’s assistant also explained the meaning of each clover on the grimoires. What else does Nero’s story uncover? Here are some facts from Black Clover episode 124!

1. Yuno the Frail

Ever since Asta was still a kid, Nero had noticed him in the village of Hage. Perhaps Nero already had a hunch back then that Asta’s the one that could defeat the Devils in the future. In the flashback, Asta’s shown to be beaten by bandits for rescuing Yuno.

Back then, Yuno was such a crybaby, he cried seeing Asta got battered. Asta also said that with hard work, he would definitely be able to be a Magic Emperor one day. Therefore, he would be able to protect anyone he loves. Since then, Yuno started having an aspiration to become a Magic Emperor.

2. The Inception of the Eye of the Midnight Sun

After the incident that killed all the elves at Licht and Tetia’s wedding, Patry woke up in Licht’s body. He couldn’t believe that humans had killed all the elves. Since then, he vowed to take revenge on humans by establishing the Eye of the Midnight Sun, along with Vetto, Fana, and Raia.

First, they intend to retrieve all of the magic stones to resurrect all the elves that have been killed. Only after that, the elves are going to wipe all the humans, especially the royals of the Clover Kingdom. 

3. Devil’s Lost

The story continues with the defeat of the Devil in the hands of Asta who partners up with the elves. Fighting against a Devil that’s able to manipulate their surroundings through speech wasn’t a piece of cake. The Devil himself said that the magic from the human realm won’t be able to kill him. Yet, thanks to Yami’s attack, the magical being that provoked the clash between Elves and Humans was defeated.

It is still unknown how Yami could have such magic that’s said to be from outside of the human realm. Asta, on the other hand, got his power from the Demon that resides in him. They were able to do this with the help of Lumiere the first Magic Emperor and Licht who played a major role.

4. Asta’s Demon

We’re reminded again with one of the most important battles between Asta and his friends against the Devil, from the last part, to be more precise. Shortly before the Devil vanishes, he was met and greeted by Asta’s Demon that regards him as a senior. It is still unclear what’s the connection between the Devil and Asta’s Demon.

Asta himself had gained control over his demonic powers, thus enabling him to transforms into Black Asta without losing consciousness. In this four-kingdoms arc, perhaps we will find the answer to who and where do the Devils come from.
