Now, for those of you who want to watch Boruto Episode 141 first, you may visit Crunchyroll: Boruto Episode 141.
We start this week with a discussion on Boruto Episode 141. Last week, we were presented with the pretty unique story of the Yamanaka family. For this week, we are entering a new arc. It revolves around a thug-filled Clan, Mujina, this anime version of Boruto was adapted directly from the manga version. It can be said that this story is not a filler, but an original.
So, how could Boruto and Mitsuki get arrested and sent to prison? You can find out the reason behind it in this discussion!
5. The Reason for Boruto and Mitsuki Become Inmates
Boruto Episode 141 opens with Boruto and Mitsuki being handcuffed and has just arrived at the shinobi prison, Hozuki Castle.
What led them to get arrested? Well, actually, Boruto and Mitsuki were working on a mission assigned directly by the Hokage. Their mission is to protect an important informant from being the target of the Mujina Bandits. The informant named Kokuri is currently imprisoned at Hozuki Castle, so the two Konoha Genin have to turn themselves in.
The danger is that Mujina also sent their envoy into the prison. He’s Tsukiyo, the second-in-command of the gang.
4. Boruto’s Cellmate
After Boruto and Mitsuki are given the seal Katon: Tenro - a fire release jutsu that can prevent the molding of chakra, they are immediately taken to their holding cells. In the cell, there were already other inmates: Kedama, Arai, and Kamata.
Kedama has a big body with dark skin. He doesn’t talk to anyone. The redheaded Arai seems to have a friendly demeanor. He doesn’t hesitate to provide information about Kokuri when questioned by Boruto. While Kamata acts like a boss and immediately bullies Boruto.
3. Sarada’s Task
If you are wondering why Sarada is not with her two teammates, she’s doing another task. While Boruto and Mitsuki are assigned for an undercover mission as inmates, Naruto ordered Sarada to act as a journalist doing research for an article.
Sarada’s task, similar to her teammates’ - to protect Kokuri - but in a different way. She’s watching for suspicious movements from the staff of Hozuki Castle. If there’s any ‘insider’ acting as Tsukiyo’s partner, she will spot them and immediately report it to Boruto or Mitsuki.
2. Kokuri’s Been Found
Based on information from Arai, Kokuri is currently in the medical ward. He is said to have been involved in a fight with Tsukiyo and was injured, so he’s been sent to the medical ward for treatment. While Tsukiyo himself is being sent to solitary containment.
The only way for Boruto to get to the medical ward is by getting sick. He’s willing to eat a poisonous fruit in order to run his objectives.
After Boruto’s taken to the medical ward and regains his consciousness, he expresses his mission to Kokuri.
1. Tsukiyo Has Another Collaborator?
On the other hand, Tsukiyo who is being locked up in a solitary containment receives a message from a mysterious person. This person seems to be an accomplice as well as the collaborator to kill Kokuri. We can also guess that Tsukiyo’s partner is a prisoner too since he’s wearing a prison suit.
In the closing, Tsukiyo’s envoy manages to infiltrate the ‘well-guarded’ medical ward and stabs Kokuri. Luckily, Kokuri isn’t badly injured. Boruto immediately paces after hearing Kokuri’s screams. Alas, the perpetrator is already gone when Boruto arrives.
Those were the important points you can find in Boruto Episode 141. If Tsukiyo doesn’t carry the Kokuri hitjob alone, then who is his partner? If you have any theory about it, leave it in the comments below!
The next week’s preview of Boruto shows a riot inside the Hozuki Castle. Boruto and Mitsuki are involved in the incident. Will they find the suspect for the attack on Kokuri? Wait for the discussion of Boruto Episode 142!
