Now we’re back with Boruto episode review. Boruto Episode 147 has aired on Sunday and becomes the last episode of the Hozuki Castle arc storyline.
The previous episode ended up with Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada successfully escaped the prison alongside Kokuri. Hadn’t had a chance to take a breathe, Tsukiyo immediately stormed them. Then, how’s the Konoha’s Team 7 Genin fight the second in command of Mujina gang? Take a look here.
5. Tsukiyo Shows His Jutsu
Continuing the end of Boruto's episode last week, Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada, who recently escaped from the prison, immediately attacked by Tsukiyo. This inmate immediately took a stance to unleash his secret technique.
It is revealed in this episode that Tsukiyo’s jutsu isTsukikage no Jutsu - a technique to control shadows from moonlight. This Jutsu is similar to Nara clan’s Kagemane no Jutsu.
Tsukikage no Jutsu uses the enemy’s shadow and creating a dark clone that shares similarities with them - in shape, abilities, and powers. To make things worse, the adversary and the clone share chakras. This Jutsu is very dangerous for Team 7 as they get overwhelmed.
4. Tsukiyo’s Weakness
Luckily, Kokuri finds jutsu’s weakness. This Jutsu uses moonlight as the power source. If there’s a brighter light stronger than the moon, then Tsukikage no Jutsu will disappear.
Kokuri uses the prison spotlight and lights the three clones. The shadows managed to disappear, and they gain the upper hand. At a precise moment, Boruto launched Boruto Stream and helped by his two teammates. In the end, Tsukiyo managed to be defeated and falls to the sea with Kokuri. But Kokuri later saved and Tsukiyo disappeared.
3. Sai Who Escorts Boruto
After beating Tsukiyo, they are stormed by wardens as well as Konoha ninjas. It looks like Sai comes to rescue his pupils after hearing no news from Lord Kujo. He also said that the prison break is useless as they get escorted in the end.
2. The Fate of Hozuki Castle’s Inmates
For a glimpse, it’s seen the condition of other inmates who has a significant role in the Hozuki Castle arc. Kamata returned to the previous cell and allowed to read letters from his brother. Kedama is happy because his flowers bloom perfectly. While Kokuri...
1. Kokuri? Tsukiyo? Or…
Kokuri looks odd at the end of the episode. In one of his notes, it is known that the leader of Mujina gang, Shojoji, has a unique Jutsu called Shikabane no Bunshin - a technique to turn all appearance up to the characteristics of the user to be like someone whose his or her brain has been eaten.
So, Shojoji eats Tsukiyo and turns into Tsukiyo himself. Shojoji (Tsukiyo) later eats Kokuri’s brain when both threw into the sea and change his form. Yes, the free Kokuri is Shojoji. And the real Kokuri? Dies!
So that’s the review of Boruto Episode 147. The closure episode for the entire arc ends with a creepy plot twist! Sadly, nobody knows Kokuri’s death. Also, the next episode will take out the manga storyline, which is the Mujina clan. Curious about the next episode? Stay tuned at Dunia Games for Boruto Episode 148 next week!
