Now we’re back on the column that talks about Boruto’s latest episode. Boruto Episode 152, which aired on Sunday, returned to a filler episode, which means a side story that didn’t mean much to the story on the manga.

Even though this week’s episode is only a filler, but it’s still interesting to watch. The story is focusing on Sarada, who is trying to learn medical jutsu. Along the way, we will see so many funny moments.

1. Sarada Is Forced to Join Medical Ninjutsu Seminar

Sarada is a genius kunoichi. She’s excel in many jutsu, but not in this particular technique, medical jutsu.

Medical jutsu is one of the fundamental ninja techniques and must be learned by all ninja since their academy days. Sarada already learned this jutsu, and she knew her weakness at that time.

After becoming a genin, Boruto, Mitsuki, Sarada attend the medical jutsu seminar, and it’s obligatory to be attended by one of the team members. Boruto declines that he cannot control his chakra, and Mitsuki cannot do so because Boruto doesn’t want to join. Only Sarada left, and she’s unwilling to join this seminar.

Heated up by Boruto's words that said, ”Because you’re the daughter of Sakura who is a medical jutsu expert, surely you can use that jutsu, right?” Sarada unwillingly accepts. 

At first, Sarada gets depressed because she must attend the seminar held by her mother. But she immediately in high spirit after hearing Shikadai’s words that being a Hokage must be perfect. She must learn medical ninjutsu to become perfect, and her dream as a Hokage accomplished. 

We know that Naruto cannot do medical jutsu at all.

2. Medial Jutsu Initial Practice

One person from each genin team learns medical jutsu under Sakura. To master this jutsu, there are four tests to pass, and they are:

1. Medical jutsu theory test;
2. Separating coffee with milk;
3. Connecting crippled doll’s arm;
4. Make a flower blossom.

Many funny incidents happen during this session.

3. Sarada Is Very Lucky!

Sarada is very lucky because she passed the tests, even though she cannot do medical jutsus at all.

That thing because of her friends’ mistake (for her case, coincidence), Iwabe and Doshu, who pestering and accidentally switching Sarada’s practice tools - even though their tools successfully showing the result of medical jutsu.

Confused and received praises, Sarada can only nod her head.

4. No Need to be Perfect to Become a Hokage

Surprisingly, Shizune storms the location and bring Naruto along. They want to see the result of the medical jutsu seminar. Sarada later has chosen to show her “skill” to everyone. 

Surely the result is a disaster because Sarada cannot use medical jutsu. She later apologizes, Naruto understands the situation and says that becoming Hokage doesn’t require to know all ninja techniques perfectly.

5. In the End, Sarada Cannot Master Medical Jutsu

After the incident, the seminar goes more freely. All students are seen trying each practice that they have done. Sadly, Sarada still cannot do it properly.

It ‘s different than Shikadai and Inojin. In a few previous episodes, Shikadai learned wind element jutsu, and he succeeded, then Inojin, who learned Shintenshin no Jutsu, succeeded as well.

So that’s the recap of Boruto Episode 152. Sarada, who known to be a genius kid among her peers, turns out she has one thing that she cannot master. Later, not all parent’s abilities can be passed down to their children - like Sakura’s ability in medical ninjutsu, as shown in this episode, that ability doesn’t pass down to her daughter. Don’t feel down about it.
