Boruto Episode 186 is out, it’s time for the writer to make the recap of everything that happened in the episode. Before that, let’s have a quick reminder of what happened last week. After losing Mugion, Team 7 was forced to back away from Ao to plan their next move. Konohamaru opted to return to Konoha and deliver Kara’s secret data. Boruto opted to fight Ao rather than having more people die. In the end, they agree to fight Ao and start to plan their attack.

What happened in this week’s episode? Boruto Episode 186 will show Team 7’s plan and how the fight with Ao ends.

5. Team 7’s Brilliant Plan

Thanks to their excellent planning the start of the fight looks really interesting. Resulting in Ao getting cornered and the scientific ninja tool on his right arm destroyed.

First, Mitsuki, Sarada, and Konohamaru baits Ao to absorb every jutsu they release. They also alternate their attack with taijutsu to distract Ao. However, the veteran shinobi managed to predict Team 7’s next move, an attack to his blind spot.

Boruto launched a surprise attack with the chakra sword from above. Ao blocked the sword and the sword fell. Ao took the sword when Boruto tried to reach for the sword.

This is Team 7’s real plan. Ao was drained of his chakra when he tried to use the chakra sword. Boruto then attacks Ao with Rasengan. Ao blocked the attack with his scientific ninja tool and was thrown away.

4. Ao’s Hidden Weapon

When Ao was cornered, he was forced to use a secret scientific ninja tool. The tool is drones that can be controlled remotely and it’s equipped with a powerful laser beam. The number of drones troubled Boruto. Konohamaru lost consciousness after getting shot by the drone.

Boruto alone managed to destroy the drones with paper bombs and lightning shuriken.

3. The Reason Why Ao didn’t Return to Kirigakure

Have you thought about the reason why Ao didn’t return to Kirigakure after getting his prosthetic arm and leg? Thankfully, Boruto asked the question for all of us in this episode.

Ao refused to return to Kirigakure because he felt no longer worthy of living as a shinobi. The man specifically asked Boruto if he can accept himself when his ability as a shinobi was stripped from him?

Ao thought that his ability as a ninja was all he had, but he lost it. He felt weak with no arm, leg, and the Byakugan. He tried to throw shuriken again after getting his prosthetic, but it didn’t bore any result. Since then, Ao felt like his ninja self was dead.

At the lowest point in his life, the war veteran met Victor. Victor gave Ao a new purpose, as a “tool” to help Kara’s plan.

2. Boruto Beat Ao Alone

The fight between Boruto and Ao was intense. But Boruto’s plan helped him get the upper hand. Ao was tricked because the Boruto on his hand was a Kage Bunshin. After that, Ao got hit by a Rasengan from the real Boruto and thrown to a wall.

The man fell down and was not moving. Boruto moved toward Ao and pulled out a screwdriver. He gave the tool to Ao to fix his destroyed arm, not to kill him.

1. Koji Kashin Appears

Boruto managed to touch Ao’s heart with his talk no jutsu and told him that he needs to keep on living. They can bring Ao to Konoha to be inspected and return to his former self, a good man.

Unfortunately, the moment lasted for seconds as Koji Kashin appeared. He then summoned Boiler Gama.

Those are the key events in Boruto episode 186. Boruto managed to beat a veteran ninja like Ao thanks to his brilliance in planning. We have to applaud him for that.
