Boruto episode 193 is out, it’s time for the writer to make the recap of the latest episode. But before that, let’s remind ourselves of what happened in the last episode. Kawaki had a rough childhood. Since he was young, his father forced him to work so he can buy alcohol.

As time passes, a mysterious hooded man came to Kawaki’s house. The man revealed to Jigen wanted to “buy” Kawaki from his father. Since then Kawaki’s days became even worse than before because he became a lab rat.

1. 5 Kage Summit

Learning new information about Kara, Naruto summons all Kage from other villages for a meeting. The agenda in this 5 Kage Summit is about Kara and to update the latest information about the organization. Kara owned the nanotechnology to change the cells in the human body into a weapon.

They also discussed Kawaki, starting from his ability to transform his hands and the Karma seal that is also on Boruto’s hand.

Naruto firmly planned to supervise Kawaki and not lock him up. From his experience as a Jinchuriki, nothing good will come up if they lock up a child robbing them of their childhood.

2. Naruto’s Effort to persuade Kawaki

Naruto looked at Kawaki as his younger self, lonely and afraid of others. As a Jinchhuriki, Naruto knew what it felt like, being feared and ostracized because of the great power in his body.

That’s why Naruto convinced other Kages that this young man shouldn’t be locked up, but let him be under strict surveillance. Gaara who was a Jinchuriki agreed. Darui who was close to a Jinchuriki also agreed. 

After the Kage Summit, Naruto needed to persuade Kawaki. The Hokage invited Kawaki to live at the Uzumaki residence. Kawaki tried to run away but failed because Naruto is faster and more experienced.

3. Remembering Mugino

Boruto had a hidden side task, visiting the house of the late Mugino and feed the turtle. Boruto did promise to feed Mugino’s turtle when the Jonin was away on a mission.

Upon feeding the turtle, Konohamaru came to the house. He wanted to clean up Mugino’s things.

Konohamaru saw Hiruzen’s photo. He knew that Mugino respected the Third Hokage, but never knew the reason why. Boruto knew because Mugino told him the story. But Mugino kept it a secret from Konohamaru so Boruto was hesitant to tell Konohamaru.

In the end, Konohamaru offered to take care of Mugino’s turtle.

4. Boruto Refused to Welcome Kawaki

Kawaki is already living in the Uzumaki Residence. Boruto was shocked and he refused to accept his father’s decision. It’s not surprising to see Boruto’s reaction especially after what happened in the Konoha lab.

Naruto then asked Boruto to talk in private. Once again the Seventh Hokage explained that Kawaki reminds him of his younger self. The difference is that Naruto has friends that kept him from straying, while Kawaki was alone. Naruto didn’t want Boruto and Kawaki to went through the same struggle as his.

Understanding his father’s side, Boruto agreed, but he warned Kawaki to not act rashly. Kawaki got angry and slams the table, breaking Himawari’s flower vase

Boruto is mad because of this, but Kawaki apologized before things got worse. At the end of the episode, Kawaki introduced himself.

Those are the key events in Boruto episode 193. The flower vase has a crucial role which will add more inner conflict between Boruto and Kawaki.
