With the release of Boruto episode 205, it’s time for the author to discuss the episode. But before that, let’s talk about the previous episode.

Sasuke saved Naruto who was about to be left alone in a different dimension by Jigen, then decided to fight him by teaming up with Naruto. This was also a good coincidence for Naruto as he couldn’t leave the dimension without Sasuke’s time and space jutsu.

However, the fight dragged on and both Naruto and Sasuke began to run out of strength to fight Jigen. Even Sasuke’s Amaterasu was nothing to Jigen who easily absorbed the eternal flame and rained both Naruto and Sasuke with his Chakra-absorbing poles. Jigen then created a prison bowl to capture them together, but Naruto sacrificed himself by asking Sasuke to save himself with his time and space jutsu. Because of that, only Sasuke managed to exit the different dimension as he went home to his house where Sakura found him dying.

With that out of the way, let’s discuss how this week’s Boruto episode 205 goes!

1. Shikamaru Investigates Naruto’s House

In this Boruto episode 205, Kawaki’s prosthetic arm is detached by itself due to losing Chakra energy flow from Naruto Uzumaki, a sign that Naruto is currently lying unconscious somewhere. Still shocked by Naruto’s current state, he’s even more shocked as Shikamaru Nara and his force arrive at Naruto’s house to investigate the disappearance of the Seventh Hokage.

Shikamaru then uses Kageshibari no Jutsu on Kawaki to render him immobile and orders his units to apply protective walls around the house. The vice-Hokage doesn’t want Kawaki to leave since Kawaki’s the only connection Shikamaru has to Naruto and that his disappearance occurred just in time with Kawaki’s presence in the house.

2. Sasuke Lies Unconscious

Shikamaru not only suspects Kawaki, he even accuses the latter as a spy who intends to harm the Seventh Hokage and endanger the entire Konoha Village. Boruto steps in to defend Kawaki by stating that Kawaki loses his arm to protect both Himawari and him. Instead of trusting Boruto, Shikamaru suspects that the Kara scientists are capable of growing back their body parts, hence losing an arm to earn trust would be easy for Kawaki who came from the Kara group.

Kawaki then comes clean by telling Shikamaru about Naruto’s disappearance to a different dimension. Jigen arrived at Naruto’s house through a portal that came out from the Karma on Kawaki’s hand, and that he kidnapped Naruto shortly after. Boruto then wonders if Sasuke and his time and space jutsu can track down Naruto’s whereabouts and save him.

Unfortunately, Sasuke can’t do that at the moment due to his dying state after vainly trying to rescue Naruto and returning back from the different dimension to his house alone. Sarada is shocked with her father’s current state, although Shikamaru tries to ease her up by telling them that her father has survived through Sakura’s medic treatment and jutsu.

3. Jigen’s Plan in Kara Group’s HQ

Jigen emerges victorious against Naruto and Sasuke, and then returns to Kara group’s HQ. Amado welcomes him and states that Jigen has lost too much Chakra due to the battle, thus he has to recover for 10 days. Meanwhile, Konoha Village is now weakened due to Naruto and Sasuke being out of commission after their fight against Jigen.

Jigen’s euphoria fires him up as he witnesses Kawaki’s Karma growing to an extreme degree and he’s ready to unveil his group’s next plan. According to the group’s scientist Amado, Kawaki’s Karma resonates with Boruto’s Karma, resulting in a drastic growth of their respective Karma. With their current state, he believes the group’s ready to create a new vessel for Otsutsuki.

Still, Jigen needs to recover before moving to his next plan. He then asks Boro to watch over the prison bowl with Naruto in it. Delta looks pissed due to being underestimated after his defeat by Naruto which leaves him out of job at hand, although Jigen assures him that he’s going to get his time to shine when the time is perfect to snatch away Kawaki and Boruto in Konoha as the new vessel.

4. Boro Suspects Kashin Koji

Kashin Koji’s observation while hiding in Konoha makes Boro suspect him. One of Boro’s followers approaches Kashin Koji in Konoha, allowing him to communicate with Boro from afar since Konoha’s emergency state after the disappearance of the Seventh Hokage renders Boro unable to communicate with Kashin Koji directly, especially considering the mysterious masked Kashin Koji is always hiding in Konoha.

Boro’s concern toward Kashin Koji is even more apparent after he found the latter’s frog at the airplane crash site. Kashin Koji simply says that the frog is proof that Jigen still trusts him in observing the village and that Jigen’s arrival in the village recently shows that the leader of Kara approves of his existence in Konoha. Additionally, Jigen would’ve killed Kashin Koji on the spot if Jigen were to suspect him as a traitor. After hearing that, Boro suppresses his accusation toward Kashin Koji, and he then heads toward Jigen in the HQ.

5. Kawaki Wants to Find Proof to Convince Shikamaru

Shikamaru’s confrontation with Kawaki in Boruto episode 205 comes to an end when one of Shikamaru’s units discovers a broken vase that Kawaki had fixed, reminding himself that Naruto really put his trust and care in him. He also wishes to protect the Seventh Hokage just like everyone else.

Shortly after, Kawaki’s hand reactivates, indicating that Naruto’s Chakra is still active and he’s still alive somewhere. Meanwhile, Boruto’s Karma on his hand unleashes a black aura in conjunction with Kawaki’s Karma, and both Karmas combine into a giant portal to a different dimension.

Shikamaru’s Kageshibari no Jutsu got absorbed by Kawaki’s Karma. Mitsuki then pulls Boruto and Sarada into the portal, promising that they’re going to rescue Naruto. Kawaki also enters the portal and promises Shikamaru he’s going to save Naruto and prove that he’s not a spy who intends to harm the Seventh Hokage.

And that’s it for Boruto episode 205. For the upcoming Boruto episode 206, Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki and Kawaki are looking for Naruto until Boro confronts them. From then on, the new Team 7 begins fighting against Boro with Sarada unleashing her fire Katon ability against Boro, although she’s struggling alone as the others are separated from her.
