Since Boruto Episode 209 has aired, it's time for Dunia Games to review the episode. Before that, let's take a look at last week's episode.

Naruto, who fainted because he lost against Jigen, the leader of Kara, was brought back to Konoha by Team 7. Shikamaru is still suspicious of Kawaki and it caused him to argue with Naruto. Kawaki helping to save Naruto in another dimension should be enough to stop Shikamaru’s suspicion.

Instead of trusting Kawaki, Shikamaru wants Kawaki's surveillance to continue. Because Jigen arrives in Konoha from the karma on Kawaki's hands. Hearing their argument, Kawaki was unsure if he was fully accepted in the village. Kawaki then decided to leave the village.

So, what happened in Boruto Episode 209? Find out below!

1. Kawaki’s Nightmare of Jigen Slaughtering the Village

Boruto Episode 209, shows the destruction of Konoha by Jigen, the leader of Kara. Lying along the road are the corpses of all residents including the seventh Hokage, Hinata, Boruto and Himawari with Jigen flying above all the helpless bodies. The red sky made the atmosphere of the destroyed Konoha by Jigen even more gripping.

Waking up from his nightmare, Kawaki thought that the scary incident would come true if he remained in Konoha. Karma on his palm could bring Jigen to Konoha again, especially knowing the extent of his power. Kawaki's only option to prevent Jigen from attacking Konoha was to get as far away as possible, and that became Kawaki's concern at the moment.

2. Himawari Who Cares for Gisa the White Wolf

Breakfast in the Seventh Hokage's family seemed warm and harmonious, making Kawaki feel comfortable having a family who loves him after all his time living alone. Something weird happened, 2 pieces of ham that were stored in the fridge suddenly disappeared, even though Hinata just bought it a few days ago. Naruto's children claimed they didn't know where the ham had disappeared, so Naruto didn’t suspect anyone and would buy them again after work.

Turns out the culprit was Himawari! She sneakily opened the fridge and took 2 sausages while Hinata was cleaning the house. Shen then put the sausages into her backpack and exited the house, Kawaki, who saw everything began to follow her. Himawari was to find out that Kawaki stopped her from leaving the house, she finally admitted that she had been taking meat from the refrigerator because she felt sorry for Gisa the white wolf in the forest and wanted to feed her.

3. Kawaki’s Parting Letter

Seeing the wounded Gisa the white wolf and lost part of its  ear, Kawaki thought that the wolf that Himawari helped often faced fierce battles. Gisa was alerted when it saw Kawaki but turned tame when fed by Himawari and loved her like her own pet. Himawari’s next activity is finding fruits, she invited Kawaki to get more fruits for Gisa which they left in a cave that became its nest.

They had collected a lot of fruits, when Himawari and Kawaki returned to Gisa's lair, it turned out that a group of gray wolves were growling against Gisa who seemed to be isolated. Assuming they were all Gisa's friends who then left wolf, Himawari became even more caring, that night Kawaki and Himawari went home together to the Seventh Hokage's family home, Kawaki was even more determined to leave the village of Konoha by writing a farewell letter which he left in his room.

4. Kawaki Relates to Gisa the Lone Wolf

The next day, Himawari was about to go to the forest to visit Gisa the Wolf with Kawaki again. Keeping their activities a secret from Boruto who was curious about where the two of them were going so early, Kawaki just replied coldly that it was none of Boruto's business. Kawaki has a brilliant idea by asking for leftover bread from the bakery so Himawari wouldn’t have to steal from the refrigerator again.

They are eager to feed Gisa with slices of bread, but horror sets in in the forest. The cave where Gisa was nesting had been left uninhabited, and there were traces of a large bear all around. In panic, Himawari and Kawaki ran to follow the big bear's footsteps deeper into the forest, and there was Gisa's lifeless body as it had lost its battle with the Bear.

Himawari cried and was calmed by Kawaki, he explained that an animal that looked different would definitely stand out and be easily attacked by stronger predators so it would be abandoned by the herd like Gisa. It was also Gisa's decision to be alone so that the other wolves would not be attacked. Feeling that his situation was similar to Gisa the wolf, Kawaki Left Himawari in the forest to run away from Konoha after burying Gisa.

5. Kawaki’s Debate with Boruto and Shikamaru and the Konoha Gate

A small conflict in front of the village gate occurred in Boruto Episode 209. Mitsuki and Boruto, who were weeding to help with Hinata's homework, read the farewell letter that Kawaki left in his room. The son of the Seventh Hokage immediately chased after Kawaki who wanted to leave Konoha and they met at the village’s gate. A debate ensues between Kawaki and Boruto, according to Kawaki to keep Konoha away from Jigen it is best for him to stay away from the village.

Shikamaru suddenly appeared at the village gate, Kawaki felt that the seventh’s vice would definitely be happy if Kawaki left the village. When walking out of the gate past Shikamaru, it turned out that Kawaki's body was restrained by Shikamaru's shadow moves. According to Shikamaru, the Seventh Hokage's decision to keep Kawaki as his family must be respected and maintained. Like it or not, Kawaki is already part of Konoha. Shikamaru’s change of heart made Kawaki cancel his plan and return to pick Himawari at Gisa's grave.

That's the review of Boruto Episode 209. The preview of Boruto Episode 210 shows Konohamaru and Sai reporting to the Seventh Hokage about their investigation on Boro’s cult, an Inner Kara. Undercover, Sai and Konohamaru visit the cult outside the borders of the great ninja nation. Delta, the temperamental member of Kara, also seemed to face the Konoha shinobi.
