Since Boruto Episode 216 has aired, it's time for Dunia Games to review the episode. Before that, let's take a look at last week's episode

A black portal opened in the sky of Konoha, and Isshiki came out from it signaling his arrival to attack the village. As previously suspected by Konoha officials, Isshiki's Byakugan eyes immediately scanned several buildings in the village for Kawaki. Choji, Kiba, Tenten, Rock Lee, and Konohamaru immediately came to ambush Isshiki. Konohamaru unleashed Rasengan and followed by the attacks of other shinobi to gang up on Isshiki.

Sasuke and Naruto sent a barrage of shuriken to Isshiki’s direction but he easily shrunk them. Sasuke threw his sword to Isshiki but he failed to shrink the sword, confusing the alien. The sword was actually boruto in transformation jutsu, Isshiki can't change the size of living things like humans in disguise. Boruto’s Karma also opened a portal and sent Isshiki to a place far from Konoha, Sasuke with space and time immediately moves bringing Naruto after them.

1. The Battle of Naruto, Boruto, and Sasuke vs. Isshiki Otsutsuki in Another Dimension

In Boruto Episode 216, Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto's battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki is getting fiercer. Boruto and Sasuke deliberately took Isshiki to another dimension to reduce casualties. Isshiki with his extraordinary speed immediately gripped Boruto while scanning Momoshiki Otsutsuki that controlled Boruto's body. It turned out that progress had been going fast to 80%, making Isshiki even more confident in his next plan as well.

Sasuke with his replacement jutsu immediately swapped the position with Boruto and immediately unleashed his chidori. The lightning release jutsu was immediately countered by Isshiki's eye ability, Isshiki's kick that landed on Sasuke's body immediately sent him flying away.

2. Kawaki Gain Consciousness at the Hideout

Kawaki finally regained his consciousness with Shikamaru coming to Kawaki and Amado at Anbu's hideout. Being told that Naruto, Sasuke and Boruto are fighting in another dimension, Kawaki wants to catch up with him by opening a portal from his Karma. To Kawaki's surprise, the Karma in his body had disappeared, the tattoo-like marks on his hands disappeared.

Amado explains that Kawaki has become a free man due to the disappearance of Isshiki's karma. The fact that Isshiki is still chasing Kawaki to carve his Karma to make him the next reincarnation vessel makes Kawaki think he is not a free human yet. Ino and the Konoha scouting division are trying to find and detect where Sasuke, Boruto and Naruto are fighting with Isshiki, as commanded by Shikamaru.

3. Isshiki Easily Overpowers Naruto and Sasuke

Isshiki's superiority as an alien doesn't seem to be a joke. The cubes that he used to fight back seemed to trouble Naruto who was already using his kyuubi mode. Naruto's Kage Bunshin no Jutsu can be easily defeated by Isshiki with the giant cubes. Naruto's real body was squashed by 2 giant cubes leaving him helpless.

Trying to help Sasuke who was hit by a rock, Boruto began to be targeted by Isshiki. Sasuke's Rinnegan immediately swapped the position of Boruto with his, causing Sasuke to be hit by sharp iron from Isshiki. Stabbed with rods all over his body, Sasuke confirms that they have to hold Isshiki for 2 days to make sure that he dies.

4. Boruto Targeted to be the Next Sacrificial Otsutsuki

Isshiki is about to drop a giant cube from above Sasuke. Boruto's Rasengan immediately blocked the cube, now it was Boruto's turn, who was determined to sacrifice his life for Sasuke but strangely, Isshiki stopped his attack.

Realizing Boruto’s importance to Isshiki's plans and will not be killed, Boruto threatens Isshiki. Boruto willingly sacrifices his body and threatens Isshiki by pointing a kunai to his neck.

Isshiki's Sukunahikona immediately shrinks the kunai, apparently Boruto was targeted by Isshiki to resurrect another Otsutsuki. The cultivation of chakra fruit from the divine tree does require another Otsutsuki to be sacrificed as raw materials, to turn the tree into a divine tree.

5. Naruto Activates Baryon Mode 

Boruto Episode 216 shows their intense battle with Isshiki Otsutsuki. Preparing to die to protect his son, Naruto talks to Kurama about an offer that endangers their life. The nine-tailed beast offers the ultimate mode to increase Naruto's fighting abilities at the cost of their life.

Instead of just dying in vain being crushed by Isshiki's giant cube, Naruto accepted Kurama’s offer to activate Baryon Mode. The rise of Naruto back into the fight could instantly knock out the powerful Isshiki, with Naruto form turning into a nine-tailed fox demon.
