Since Boruto Episode 218 has aired, it's time for Dunia Games to review the episode. But before that let’s take a look at what happens last week.

Isshiki's grip on Naruto's neck made Isshiki realize Naruto's Chakra was connected to the Chakra he knew, Kawaki. Anbu's hideout where Kawaki was being secured from Isshiki became connected to Naruto's Chakra which activated Kawaki's prosthetic arm. As a result, Kawaki was suddenly sucked in by a portal created by Isshiki and teleported him to their location.

The reflection of Isshiki's large needle stuck in the ground right in front of Kawaki's face traumatized Kawaki and reminded him of the hide-and-seek that he often did with Isshiki when Kawaki was little. The end of Naruto's Baryon Mode left him vulnerable, Isshiki will kill him if Kawaki doesn't surrender in 20 seconds. Not wanting Naruto to have the fate of the goldfish killed by Isshiki because of hide-and-seek in Kawaki's past, Kawaki was forced to reappear in front of Isshiki.

1. Isshiki Successfully Catch Kawaki and Implanted His Karma

Boruto Episode 218 shows Isshiki Otsutsuki luring Kawaki out of hiding by holding Naruto hostage. Isshiki’s lifespan is getting shorter and forces him to move quickly to catch Kawaki and take over his body. Kawaki resisted with Katon to attack Isshiki although he easily dodged it.

Isshiki then grabbed onto Kawaki’s body, so he couldn't escape anywhere. Insinuating Kawaki who acts like a shinobi, Isshiki also explains that Kawaki, who lives only to be a place for reincarnation, must not have any aspirations. It was Naruto who made Kawaki have a purpose in life, not just an empty shell. Isshiki's hold on Kawaki's neck is also to carve out the Karma seal again.

2. Kawaki’s Brilliant Tactic to Beat Isshiki

Feeling futile after seeing Isshiki Otsutsuki who had captured Kawaki to engrave the Karma seal for Isshiki's reincarnation, Naruto and Sasuke were desperate. Kawaki's body was engraved with a karma seal by Isshiki, and Isshiki's body, which had begun to crumble because his life is ending, laughed when he saw that his reincarnation vessel was ready.

Isshiki's fingers and other limbs began to fall out, but Isshiki remained optimistic that he would soon be transferred to Kawaki's body. The karma on Kawaki's body suddenly disappeared, startling Isshiki. The real Kawaki appeared from the rock behind Isshiki, what Isshiki caught was just Kawaki's kage bunshin. Kawaki's clever tactics tricked Isshiki into engraving karma to a fake, leaving his body to dust after running out of time.

3. Sasuke’s Rinnegan Destroyed by Boruto Controlled by Momoshiki

Kawaki's last blow on Isshiki's body instantly annihilated the Otsutsuki until it disappeared without a trace. Surprised that Kawaki could perform kage bunshin no jutsu, Naruto and Sasuke were amazed by Kawaki's ingenuity that was able to defeat Isshiki once and for all. Kawaki can only summon 1 kage bunshin, unlike from Naruto and Boruto's kage bunshin no jutsu.

Talking to Boruto, Sasuke was suddenly surprised by Boruto's attack whose body was controlled by Momoshiki. Boruto's sharp kunai stabbed Sasuke's Rinnegan in the eye. The Rinnegan were immediately targeted by Momoshiki who took over Boruto's body because he wanted to prevent Sasuke from using space and time moves with those eyes.

4. Strong Brotherhood

Kawaki is angered by Momoshiki who controlled Boruto to attack Sasuke’s eye. Apparently Momoshiki still wants to carry out the Otsutsuki ritual by feeding Kawaki to be eaten by the Juubi because even though Isshiki is destroyed, the data is still on Kawaki's body. Juubi who will eat Kawaki can grow into a divine tree that can grow chakra fruit according to the mission of the Otsutsuki to drain the energy of a planet.

Sasuke's still functioning Sharingan was instantly used to attack Momoshiki but was dodged instead of being absorbed by his karma. Momoshiki's response made Sasuke tell Kawaki to make Momoshiki absorb his chakra with karma to wake up Boruto.

Trying to sacrifice himself by burning himself using Katon, Kawaki forces Momoshiki, who didn't want his Juubi bait destroyed, absorb his chakra. Then Boruto takes control of his body again by breaking Momoshiki's horn which temporarily drives him away. Boruto and Kawaki's close brotherhood was able to defeat the formidable Otsutsuki.

5. Kurama’s Final Farewell

The brotherhood of Naruto and Kurama the Kyubi is also dramatically shown in Boruto episode 218. Unconscious because of the life-threatening Baryon Mode, Naruto is in limbo with Kurama. Accepting the consequences of Baryon Mode, Naruto welcomed death with a smile and fist bump with Kurama.

It turned out that Naruto misunderstood Kurama's intentions when proposing to use Baryon Mode, Naruto's life is not the sacrifice but Kurama's life. Kurama died happily because even though he was a monster, Naruto calls him by his real name and treats him as a brother. Naruto's consciousness returned when he was awakened by Boruto, Kawaki, and Sasuke.
