Haikyuu season 4, episode 1 finally airs! Now we can watch the volleyball anime every week again. Season 4 of Haikyuu has a total of 25 episodes. What makes Hinata SHoyo sneaks into the training camp? Read the facts about this week’s episode here!

1. Jumping Measurement

After measuring their height, all participants are asked to measure their maximum vertical jump. The method is to tap their fingertips to the basket net. Hinata and Kageyama bets on their measurement. The loser will buy three bread for the winner.

The purpose of this measurement is to find out their highest spike point. The measurement for the members of Karasuno is Tsukishima - 334 cm, Nishinoya - 302 cm, Kageyama 337 cm, Hinata, and Asahi - 333 cm. Kageyama comes out as the winner.

2. The Invitation to the Training Camp

After measuring their max vertical, Takeda-sensei comes and gives the news that one of the members of Karasuno is invited to join the Japan youth volleyball team training camp. That member is Kageyama, the news shocks the rest of the members because those who are invited have the potential to join the Japan youth team. 

Those who are invited to the training camp is going through a selection process for two years before joining the Japanese U-19 team. Hinata is frustrated upon seeing his rival gets invited and not him.

3. Training Camp for First-Year

Besides the training camp invitation, Takeda-sensei also said that there’s a training camp invitation for the first-year held by Jouzenzi highschool. The purpose of the training camp is to improve the quality of volleyball in the Miyagi prefecture.

The only invited member of Karasuno is Tsukishima. Once again, this annoys Hinata because his talent is underestimated.

4. Hinata Sneaks In

Because he is not invited to all of the training camps, Hinata decides to sneak in so he can practice with better players. He then decides to sneak into the first-year training camp. Multiple first-years from various schools that Karasuno had faced gathers there. Hinata is dumb enough to attend the training camp when they are checking the attendance.

Before he kicked out, the coach of Shiratorizawa offers Hinata to stay at the camp as a ball boy if he wants to. He thinks that Hinata is useless if Kageyama is not there as a setter.

Hinata agrees to it as long as he can watch the players train. Hinata himself hopes that he can join in.
