1. Karasuno Grads
In the previous match, two Karasuno grads came to watch Hinata and his teammates’ match. Tashiro was Karasuno captain when Daichi was still a freshman, while Kurokawa was the captain when Daichi was a sophomore. At the time, Karasuno lacked on talented players.
All the freshmen are then introduced to them by Daichi. Tashiro’s surprised to see Tsukishima and Kageyama’s towering figures up close. Daichi also says that Kageyama’s one of the hottest prospects of the Japanese national youth team. While for Hinata, he says he has some mysterious powers.
2. Fukurodani’s Fixture
Fukurodani High used to have a practice match against Karasuno at the training camp. Their Ace, Bokuto is a rather unique person. Without a certain passion or drive, his game on the court will plummet. As it was shown in his first match in the Nationals.
After his mates promised to support him (although it was a straight-up lie), Bokuto’s able to show his full potential, resulting in a surprisingly great performance. In that match, Bokuto managed to score a lot and took Fukurodani to the next round.
3. Hinata and Hoshiumi
Shortly after Karasuno’s finished the match, Hinata met one of the prospects of Japan youth team, Korai Hoshiumi. Previously, it’s shown that Hoshiumi has a higher vertical leap than Hinata. Nicknamed Little Giant, this guy plays for Kamomedai High with the number 5 jersey. With a height of just 169 cm, he jumps higher than his opponents at 180-190s cm.
Not only that, but his technique is also impeccable, as he’s adept in doing various moves, from spikes to fakes to various sides of the court. He can even do an ace service. Hinata’s so excited to watch him closely.
4. Hoshiumi’s Statement
Hinata’s so ecstatic to be able to attend and play at the Nationals. The reason being, he can meet Hoshiumi. When interviewed, Hoshiumi said that although being short is a disadvantage in volleyball, that doesn’t necessarily mean it is a weakness. His epic game has backed up his statement.
As a fellow short player, Hinata’s very happy to hear that statement. Hinata’s very grateful to be able to attend and play at this event.
