Shingeki no Kyojin anime is out. The anime enters its finale season. Did you follow the anime from the beginning? Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season Episode 1 opens with a war at Fort Slava. In this location, the Marley soldier is fighting the Mid-East Alliance.

1. Taking Over Fort Slava

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season Episode 1 opens with the war at Fort Slava. The fort is a crucial strategic base of the Mid-East Alliance. Close to the fort rest the main battleship fleet of the Mid-East Alliance. 

The Marley Army has been running all day long to take down Fort Slava. They hope that their take over attempt will end the war between Marley and Mid-East Alliance with Marley coming out as the winner.

2. New Crucial Character

The opening episode of the Shingeki no Kyojin finale episode also introduces new characters that will become crucial in the future. They are Falco Grice and Gabi Braun, the descendant of Eldia trained by Marley to become a Warrior and a candidate to be the next Armored Titan.

3. Marley’s Discrimination Toward Eldia

We can see the discriminative and bad treatment Marley done toward Eldia in this episode

Commander Magath ordered all Eldia descendants to cut the enemy’s train rail by all means, even by suicide bombing. Luckily, the plan was not carried out since Gabi destroyed the anti-Titan train. 

The same with Zeke and Reiner. They take advantage of the Eldian that have been injected with the Titan serum, dropping them to Fort Slava using an airplane while transforming them into Titan. Resulting in the Titan rain, destroying everything.

4. The Fall of Fort Slava and the Loss of Mid-East Alliance

The Marley used many methods to take over Fort Slava and sunk the battleship fleet of the Mid-East Alliance.

Commander Magath wanted to destroy the steel train using anti-Titan weaponry. He planned on using the Eldia descendant to destroy the railway. But Gabi destroyed the train with a grande.

With the train destroyed, a window of opportunity for the Marley soldier appeared. The full force attacked Fort Slava, even utilizing Cart Titan and Jaw Titan. 

After destroying the exterior of the fort, Zeke and Reiner are on. They sent Eldian people who have been turned into Titan. They are dropped from the sky and neutralizes Fort Slava from the inside. Reiner also jumps down, transforming into Armored Titan, destroying the weaponry of the Mid-East Alliance.

Zeke also jumps down as Beast Titan. He picks up anti-Titan bullets left in the fort and throws them to the main battleship fleet of the Mid-East Alliance.

5. The Titan Era is Over

We witnessed the brutality of Titans in tens of Shingeki no Kyojin episodes. But they are not as dangerous now.

Despite the Mid-East Alliance losing, the proved that technology can takedown Titan. Armored Titan collapsed after getting rained by bullets from the Mid-East Alliance battleship that also killed Beast Titan.

This turn of events causes Marley to desire the ability of Founding Titan’s ability to strengthen their force so they can control Titans.

6. A Mysterious Person in Liberio?

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season Episode 1 is closed with the presence of a mysterious person wearing formal clothing and a hat. He looked at the news of the fall of Fort Slava while walking to Liberio, a city where the Eldian lives in Marley. If you read the manga, then you know the identity of this person, right?
