Spy x Family Episode 11 showed Anya’s effort to earn a Stella. Despite Anya’s academic struggles, Loid refused to give up on her and instead invited her to participate in a volunteer program. Since she wasn’t doing a good job volunteering at the hospital, they had to go home early. However, on their way home, Anya telepathically heard a kid who was drowning in the rehab pool.

Hearing that, Anya rushed to the pool. Anya and Loid managed to save the kid and Anya ended up earning a Stella for her honorable deed. By earning the first Stella in such a short time, Anya became the center of attention at school, much to the envy of her peers. Anya also asked for a gift from Loid for getting a Stella. So, what will Anya receive as a reward in Episode 12? Find out more about it with this recap.

1. The Talk of The Neighborhood

The episode begins with a recap of Operation Strix. Then it switches to Loid coming home from work. In the corridor of his apartment, he eavesdrops on the ladies living in that building talking about him, expressing their pity for Anya and Yor, who are constantly being left alone by Loid who’s too busy with his work, even on the weekends.

Hearing that, Loid rushes to his apartment. He believes that raising suspicion from the neighbors can be detrimental to his mission. When he arrives, he invites Anya and Yor to go out for the weekend.

2. A Family Outing

Loid decides to take the family to an aquarium in Berlint for the weekend. As they are about to leave the apartment, Loid runs into his neighbors. He purposely mentions that they’re going out to make them look like a real, normal family. Since Anya can read Loid’s mind, she tries to say things that might help him convince the neighbors, yet the words coming out of her mouth sound forced and make them look the opposite.

3. A Mission at the Berlint Aquarium

When they’re about to take the subway, Loid receives an order for another mission although it’s the weekend and he’s currently working on making his family look normal for the sake of Operation Strix. However, the location for said mission also happens to be the aquarium that Loid is headed to. So, he has no reason not to take it. The mission is ordered directly from WISE, where Loid is required to gather the details from an information exchange regarding the enemy’s method of creating a new type of biological weapon. This is crucial as it involves the lives of thousands of people.

4. Anya Helps Loid

Since they run into one of their neighbors at the aquarium, Loid decides to quickly finish his mission so that he can return to his role as the father and husband. Loid invites them to the penguin enclosure since the item that Loid has to retrieve is smuggled in one of the penguins. However, the enclosure has a huge flock of penguins, and Loid is unsure how he can single his target out.

Anya reads Loid’s mind and tries to help him by reading the penguins’ minds. Once she finds the target, Anya tells Loid that the penguin looks suspicious. Interested in her father’s mission, Anya secretly watches Loid trying to retrieve the pill from the penguin. And when Loid chases down the terrorist, Anya helps him by trying to hold the man.

5. Agent Anya

Anya introduces the penguin doll Loid gives her to her favorite doll Chimera. She plays around with her dolls, pretending that they’re spies, and takes them for a house tour. But when Anya takes her dolls to Loid and Yor’s room, she is stopped by Loid and then cries. 

Anya threatens to run away, which, of course, can harm the entirety of Operation Strix. So, Loid and Yor play along with Anya’s roleplay to calm her down. Anya takes Loid and Yor out to continue playing. Episode 12 is the final episode of Spy x Family Season 1. The Forgers will return in Season 2, which is expected to premiere in October 2022.
