On July 13, The God of High School Episode 2 was released. While the first episode of the anime served as an introductory of the main characters and the arena of the God of High School tournament, in Episode 2, a suspenseful battle has finally begun.

1. The Story Behind Yoo Mira’s Sword

In this episode, we can find out the story behind the sword that Yoo Mira uses after Jin Mori accidentally knocks the sword off a bridge and into the water. The reason why Yoo Mira looks furious when someone touches her sword is that the sword used to belong to her late father.

Yoo Mira then bequeathed with the sword as the successor to guard the sword and keep the Moon Light Sword Style alive.

2. The Preliminary Round Begins

The preliminary round did begin in the first episode. But, the tournament still uses a Battle Royale system to determine who deserves to be in the God of High School tournament. After the Battle Royale completed, the real tournament has finally begun.

Each participant of the God of High School will fight others, and the winner will be determined if one of the fighter surrenders, is unconscious, or out of the arena for more than 20 seconds.

3. Go Gamdo vs. Kang Manseok!

Go Gamdo is a master of Tai Chi, on the other hand, Kang Manseok is a master of Taekwondo. Before the tournament began, Go Gamdo and Kang Manseok is having a bit of a scuffle, but the argument is stopped by Jin Mori.

Go Gamdo then goes up against Kang Manseok, but this time, they’re fighting in an official arena. In that match, we can see that Go Gamdo does have the upper hand initially, as he brings down Kang Manseok with ease. However, Kang Manseok starts to show his true power and begins destroying Go Gamdo in a barrage of attacks.

4. Jin Mori Jumps into the Arena

Seeing Go Gamdo utterly battered by the opponent, Jin Mori isn’t having it, he jumps into the arena to beat Kang Manseok for his excessive violence. Surely Jin Mori’s decision is seen as an illegal act, and he will be subjected to severe punishment. Yet it’s still unclear what punishment that Jin Mori will get. Perhaps we’ll find out in the next episode.
