Completely Dominating Nongshim Redforce, NOVA Esports Wins KIS4 HOK, Making Back-to-Back History!
The Honor of Kings Invitational Season 4 (KIS4) Grand Final was held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the GBK Basketball Hall, Senayan, Jakarta. In this match, NOVA Esports faced South Korean team Nongshim Redforce in a rematch of the KIS3 Grand Final in early 2025. The two teams met again for the KIS4 HOK championship. The match was played in a best-of-seven (BO7) series format.
In Game 1, NOVA displayed aggression, with Wendy's Mai Shiranui taking down two Nongshim Redforce players. However, NS countered with attacks from Guan Yu Ratel and Yang Jian HAKU. Attacks traded between the two teams, with NS attempting to dismantle NOVA's defensive turrets one by one. Objectives were contested in the mid-game, with NS appearing to rush their attacks. NOVA carefully capitalized on the momentum.
Augran KongLing and Mai Wendy's combo managed to take down three NS players. NOVA managed to lock down Overlord. Overlord was suppressed, and both teams returned to the fight in the Tyrant area. Ratel was taken down, and NOVA secured Tyrant. The NS players were swept by NOVA, leaving SIRI alone. NOVA Esports immediately stormed Nongshim Redforce's base in an attempt to end the game. Ratel respawned, was taken down again, and NOVA Esports ultimately secured the first game.
Entering game 2, NOVA became even more aggressive. NS appeared helpless, as NOVA's increasingly agile attacks crippled their opponents. Control of the objective fell to NOVA, completely cornering NS. By the 9th minute, three NS players had been taken down by NOVA. However, NOVA was in no rush to end the game. The two teams returned to the Tyrant area. NS secured Tyrant, but NOVA, using Xuan's Chicha, took down two NS players.
HAKU was left standing, and Xuan quickly dispatched him. Weipit and KongLing moved swiftly to storm the Nongshim Redforce base, leading the wave, and NOVA secured Game 2. Moving into Game 3, NS signaled a comeback with SIRI securing first blood through his Flowborn Marksman. NOVA retaliated, pushing back the NS squad, and one by one, their turrets were taken down. NS's defensive formation seemed to crumble under NOVA Esports' collective play.
A teamfight ensued mid, with Erin Muci securing Ratel. Two kills were secured, HAKU fell, and SIRI and Namu3 followed. Muci secured a quadrakill, leaving Illusion alone. Muci secured the first pentakill, and the NS squad was wiped out. NOVA moved swiftly to storm the Nongshim Redforce base. An ace was secured, and NOVA was unstoppable. Ratel respawned, waiting for NOVA to complete their task, and NOVA secured the third point.
Game 4 proved decisive for NOVA. NS secured first blood again through Illusion's Mai Shiranui. It was no coincidence, as NS managed to maintain the early lead. Trying to play more collectively, Nongshim Redforce showed signs of revival. NS successfully controlled the objective, and NOVA's defensive turrets fell one by one. NOVA didn't stand still, and Wendy and her teammates slowly countered.
Despite their initial counterattack, NS again threw NOVA into disarray. HAKU's Ying managed to take down two NOVA players. A teamfight ensued in the Tyrant pit, with KongLing securing the Tyrant. Flowborn Marksman Muci took down two NS players, securing a Quadrakill. With Umbrosa Ratel left alone, NOVA moved quickly to dismantle the NS defensive team. Another teamfight ensued in the Overlord area, with KongLing successfully taking down two NS players.
Flowborn Muci was once again allowed to appear, and the NS players were completely swept away with an Ace. Victory was within reach for NOVA Esports, and they finally won the KIS4 HOK championship, becoming the first team to win back-to-back titles, or two consecutive wins, in the Honor of Kings Invitational. To complete the victory, Muci was named Finals MVP. It was truly an extraordinary performance and dominance from NOVA Esports in the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 4.
