The Still Watching Netflix YouTube channel shared a video containing Oda's message to fans regarding the second season of One Piece Live Action. Oda said that fans seemed to like this live action so they were really looking forward to the sequel. He also thanked the fans who had watched it.

Two weeks after its release, Oda received news that Netflix was willing to continue this series into a second season. Oda also said that it would take time for the script to be finished. Finally, Oda also gave a hint that the Straw Hat crew would need a great doctor.
