OG Successfully Thwarts KAGENDRA in the IKL Spring 2026 Playoffs, Making History!
The match between KAGENDRA and OG took place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, where the two teams battled in the Lower Bracket Semifinals. On the first day, KAGENDRA lost 4-2 to Dominator by Nemesis, while OG also lost 4-1 to Bigetron by Vitality, forcing both teams to return to the Lower Bracket. Nevertheless, this was a highly prestigious matchup, as they were competing for a spot in the Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC) 2026 Esports World Cup.
The match between OG and KAGENDRA was intense, with alternating dominance in each game. The series opened with a dominant display from OG in the first game. DaoDao (Pei) was very aggressive in the jungle, triggering a series of crucial eliminations that disrupted the opponent's tempo. This aggressiveness was bolstered by iHanss (Biron), who consistently won lanes and applied massive pressure. Ultimately, iHanss's final offensive initiative wiped out all of KAGENDRA's players, securing OG's first dominant victory.
However, KAGENDRA responded quickly in the second game. Through brilliant performances by Senkoo (Haya) and FeiShi (Yang Jian), they applied constant pressure to the heart of OG's defense. A key moment came when Zaan (Chicha) took down iHanss in a crucial area, exploiting a gap in the opponent's defense to force a victory and level the score at 1-1. As the series entered its mid-game, the exchange of attacks intensified. OG regained the lead in the third game after DaoDao (Feyd) secured the first Tyrant and built momentum from the start.
The deadly duo of DaoDao and Ahem (Di Renjie) tore apart KAGENDRA's defense in the mid-game, forcing Wiraww (Fatih) and Senkoo (Kong Ming) to retreat before OG finally dismantled all of the opponent's defensive turrets. KAGENDRA, not to be taken lightly, rallied in the fourth game. Wiraww (Charlotte) cleverly suppressed DaoDao (Agudo), while the collaboration of Senkoo (Mai Shiranui) and FeiShi (Feyd) took down key OG players one by one. FeiShi was clinical, eliminating 663 (Zhang Fei) and Ahem, ensuring Overlord penetrated the heart of OG's defense and forcing the score back to 2-2.
Momentum seemed to shift completely to KAGENDRA in the fifth game. Wiraww (Nezha) and Lu (Liang) appeared very confident, applying double pressure early on, successfully taking down iHanss (Sun Ce) and Ahem (Chicha) simultaneously. Zaan (Arli) then dominated the networth and repeatedly took down key players, including 663 (Lian Po) and DaoDao (Ying). KAGENDRA's success in winning the objective contest in the Tyrant area brought them to match point 3-2. However, on the verge of defeat, OG displayed a steely mentality in the sixth game.
DaoDao (Luna) performed phenomenally, applying relentless pressure. Niel's (Nuwa) strategic attack initiation that took down Senkoo (Xiao Qiao) and Ahem's (Flowborn Marksman) execution against Wiraww (Bai Qi) finally broke down KAGENDRA's defense, forcing the match to proceed to the final round or Ultimate Battle. Game seven witnessed a silent, intense struggle between the two teams. KAGENDRA took control early in the match through the aggression of Senkoo (Princess Frost) and Wiraww (Nezha) who successfully disrupted OG's jungle area.
However, OG slowly recovered and turned the tide after Ahem (Loong) and Niel (Haya) pulled off crucial wipes against key KAGENDRA players. The situation became even more difficult for KAGENDRA when FeiShi (Jingg) and Lu (Liang) were caught in the top zone, triggering a series of eliminations. Tensions reached their peak when 663 secured Tempest Dragon, a decisive moment that completely destroyed KAGENDRA's defense. The successful elimination of Senkoo and FeiShi by iHanss (Dharma) and Ahem (Loong) ensured that the minion penetration was unstoppable.
This dramatic victory not only closed the series but also marked the first time KAGENDRA failed to reach the international stage. Meanwhile, OG officially advanced to face Bigetron by Vitality for a spot in the Grand Final against Dominator by Nemesis. KAGENDRA's journey may have ended here, but their fighting spirit remains a key highlight of the season.
