Episode 1156 of One Piece featured a rather surprising conflict between the Bartolomeo Pirates and the Yonko group led by Shanks. This encounter drew attention because it involved a die-hard Monkey D. Luffy fan facing off against one of the most influential figures in the world.

Bartolomeo, known as the captain of the Barto Club Pirates, was selling Straw Hat-themed merchandise to the residents of an island. Unfortunately, he didn't know the island was Shanks' territory. Ultimately, Bartolomeo had to face Shanks and his crew.

As one of the Yonko, his mere presence was enough to heighten tensions. Here, Shanks tested Bartolomeo's loyalty, as he admired Luffy greatly. He gave him poison. Bartolomeo would be forgiven if he gave it to Luffy. Without hesitation, the Bari Bari no Mi wielder drank the poison, sacrificing himself for Luffy.

It turned out it wasn't poison, but plain water. Bartolomeo was unharmed and left on his ship in a proud manner. Unfortunately, Yasopp didn't allow that. He wanted to protect his captain's reputation by not letting the man who had indirectly insulted Shanks escape. With a single shot from his rifle, Yasopp sank Bartolomeo's ship.

It's unknown whether Bartolomeo survived the attack. Here, we can see that Shanks' crew are true pirates. They won't let anyone mess with their captain.
