Ahead of the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) SEA 2026 Spring, ONIC has officially revamped its roster. As we know, for FFWS SEA 2026 Spring, ONIC is bringing in a new analyst, Parandika, and an additional player, Demonz. Demonz's arrival indirectly replaces the position previously held by Irgi "Geday" Ramdani, who last competed with the team in the Free Fire Battle Rush (FFBR) Series earlier this year.
As an Indonesian team that failed to qualify for the FFWS Global Finals 2025 last November, ONIC has decided to conduct a major evaluation and overhaul for the 2026 season. Coach Ahmad Fadly "AFM" Masturoh has also made appropriate adjustments, seeking additional players as we know, ONIC needs a powerful fifth player. Now, with the new analyst and new player, AFM has high hopes for ONIC's new strength in FFWS SEA 2026 Spring. What was AFM's response to the addition of Parandika and Demonz to ONIC? Read on for the explanation.
AFM Reveals ONIC's New Strength at FFWS SEA 2026 Spring: Analysts Have a Crucial Role!
For the past few years coaching ONIC, AFM has been known to lack a mentor or analyst. This is indeed different from when he was a coaching staff member at EVOS. After almost a year coaching ONIC, it seems AFM has been entrusted by management to add staff, and he has brought in his old colleague, Parandika, as an analyst. According to AFM, Parandika's presence completes the coaching structure he desired and addresses perceived shortcomings.
"Regarding the analyst, it's more about (completing) the structure of my staff composition. It's also (to) see where my shortcomings are. So, as you know, my skills are perhaps more detailed as an analyst (discussing) strategy, tactics, and so on," AFM told Dunia Games (DG) exclusively. AFM added that Parandika's presence as an analyst helped him strengthen his rapport with the players, particularly in bonding with them outside of the game. Furthermore, Parandika also served as a liaison between the players and himself.
"But I also recognize my weakness: I don't have much time to bond with the kids. I've learned from that experience, and I think that's one of my weaknesses: not having much time. I've continuously evaluated my previous mistakes and lessons learned, so I needed someone who could cover that area," AFM added.
"Parandika is called an analyst in the book, but his role is more focused on helping the kids bond outside of the game, solving problems, and so on. He becomes a place for the kids to share stories or talk to, and so on. If things get tense (among the players), I can scold them, and they have a liaison. Instead of being strict and angry, Parandika becomes a liaison, making it easier for them to understand," AFM explained.
With Parandika's presence, AFM feels empowered. Although Parandika doesn't fully understand gaming, he feels he needs a partner to address out-game issues, creating a more balanced team. "So, the current coaching staff's role is more about complementing each other. It's not about Parandika being an analyst. Does he understand the game? He may not understand the game, but I already have that. Parandika has out-game skills that can help cover my shortcomings," AFM said.
"So, I'm still in charge of analysis (strategy) and other things, don't worry. We'll entrust the out-game issues to Parandika. Parandika himself has worked with me many times during his time at EVOS."
Meet Demonz, the Icebreaker at ONIC!
Technically, AFM explained that the reason he brought Demonz in was because he needed an additional rusher to complete the team. Furthermore, with two IGLs (Team Captains), he found it difficult to deal with a rusher who couldn't compete due to illness. "For Demonz, yesterday we had two captains, Xyroo and Geday. I think there were too few strategies I could implement when I only had two rushers. So I needed three, complementing each other," AFM said.
"Because if Adam got sick, I always had a headache about who could replace me. Geday was impossible, let alone Xyroo as a rusher. I came to a conclusion after the FFWS SEA Thailand tournament yesterday, and there was an evaluation of who would be the team captain and who I should rest. Coincidentally, Xyroo had a pretty good result at the SEA Games, so I trusted him again as captain at ONIC this season. Demonz will be a backup rusher."
AFM also stated that Demonz has strengths outside the game, including his humorous and entertaining personality. According to AFM, he needs a player like this to lighten the mood and prevent the team from becoming too tense. "I've been monitoring Demonz for quite some time; he's quite good in his off-game play, so he has a humorous side that keeps the team relaxed. I don't like players who are too serious; I need players with a humorous demeanor so they don't always feel tense," AFM explained with a laugh.
"The rotation that will occur will likely be between Putra, Adam, and Demonz competing for the rusher spot, as they compete to see who will be part of our starting lineup." Finally, as a teammate, CrimeMKS agreed with AFM's statement, explaining that Demonz's humorous and playful nature is a key factor in lightening the mood. "Maybe in the out-game, as AFM said, he (Demonz) is indeed funny. Moreover, we need a funny person too, because when we practice, we're serious, but sometimes there's just not enough funny moments," said CrimeMKS.
"With Demonz, we can laugh when we practice, but in-game, so far, it's been safe and there haven't been any problems," he concluded. So far, ONIC has shown their best performance in the first week of FFWS SEA 2026 Spring. Hopefully, Demonz and Parandika will provide ONIC with a more solid strength this season.
