Sosuke is only five years old when he saves Ponyo, which demonstrates his level of trust. Sosuke is such a reliable person for his age. Ponyo wishes to be a real girl, and that confuses her human father. On the other hand, her mother, the goddess of the sea, agrees to allow Ponyo's transformation, but Sosuke's heart must be in the right place.
