Aura Fire secured another victory in the MPL ID Season 9 after defeating Geek Fam ID in a 2-0 clean sweep. In this match, High stole the spotlight with his unusual Jungle pick. He picked Esmeralda in Game 1 and successfully disorganized Geek Fam ID’s formation.

In the post-match interview, High told the media that he got the idea of picking Esmeralda as a Jungler from the public. “It started from reading comments, I tried it out in Ranked, Custom, scrims, and I eventually used it in the MPL,” said High. 

He also mentioned another reason for picking Esmeralda. According to him, the opposing team would have a difficult time during the draft pick as Aura Fire has an abundance of unique picks. “It would help give my team some flexibility, too. It’d seem that Fluffy’s the only one who could main Esmeralda. So, the opponents couldn’t lock our draft pick,” he added.
