Vyn's Take on BTR Light's Underwhelming Performance
BTR Light performance under the expectation.

BTR Light has recently become one of the most scrutinized players in the MPL ID scene. As Bigetron's new recruit, the Filipino roamer was expected to elevate the team to new heights.
The expectations were sky-high, considering Light's reputation as one of the most feared roamers in the Philippine competitive scene. With extensive experience, strong mechanics, and a deep hero pool, he seemed like the perfect addition to Bigetron's roster.
Bigetroopers were especially thrilled when his signing was announced, particularly since he would reunite with his former RSG PH teammate, Emann.
Reality Falls Short of Expectations
However, Light's transition to MPL ID has been far from smooth. His performances have been noticeably less impactful compared to his days in the Philippines. Several questionable plays—including a now-infamous moment where he recklessly dove into an enemy turret using Chip against EVOS—have drawn heavy criticism from fans and analysts alike.
Vyn Weighs In on Light's Struggles
The discourse around BTR Light hasn't just been limited to Bigetroopers—even former BTR and RRQ roamer Vyn has shared his thoughts during his recent streams.
Vyn acknowledged that Light hasn’t been performing at his best, further fueling frustration among fans who believe Bigetron made a mistake by letting go of Kyy.
"But honestly, if your expectations were based on Light’s peak performances in the PH scene—where he was one of the best—then yeah, he hasn’t lived up to that yet," Vyn said during his livestream.
"Right now, he’s just performing at an average level. I wouldn’t say he’s terrible—not at all. He’s not a liability, but he’s not standing out either."
Room for Growth
Vyn’s assessment holds merit. Light is still adjusting to a new region, and adaptation takes time. While his performances haven’t been disastrous, they haven’t been enough to propel Bigetron up the standings either.
With time and the support of his former teammate Emann, there’s still hope that Light can regain his RSG PH form and become the game-changing roamer Bigetron needs.
For now, the pressure is on—but redemption could still be within reach.
