Ragnarok Origin (ROO) is the latest in the ever-growing Ragnarok Online game family, bringing new mechanics, features, and challenges. One of the most popular activities in any Ragnarok game is the MVP hunt, where adventurers team up to defeat powerful boss monsters. This guide will help you understand the essence of MVP hunting in Ragnarok Origin, so you can optimize your daily routine and maximize the rewards you get.

Here are some important points that you will get from this article:

  • Take part 5 times a day to get MVP Rewards;
  • you don't need to be alive to get MVP Rewards;
  • DMG dealt, DMG received, and Heal are the scoring factors for MVP rankings;
  • The first and last attacks will increase your score for MVP rankings;
  • Death will reduce the score for MVP Ranking.

Understanding MVP Hunting Mechanisms in Ragnarok Origin:

In Ragnarok Origin, you can easily track MVP boss spawn time, eliminating the need for guesswork or long waits. The game also includes various boss tips, ensuring that you are ready for every encounter.

Basically, you have to go to their locations as they appear on the map and attack bosses to get rewards. By doing this, you will get a reward and those who reach the top will get an additional bonus prize.

The Importance of Daily MVP Hunt:

Participating in MVP hunts is an important part of the daily routine in Ragnarok Origin and you can do it 3 times a day. By doing so, you can earn valuable rewards such as Diamonds, Fragment Cards, and crafting materials, all of which are essential for your character's progress so that your character is not left behind by other F2P players.

The MVP bounty hunt is divided into three categories (Updated every 6AM - Manila Time, Philippines):

  • Team Prize and Participation Prize (5 times)
  • Final Prize (3 times)

Even if you don't have the resources to deal massive amounts of damage, you can still earn rewards by participating in MVP hunts. All participating team members have the opportunity to acquire rare items, such as cards and headgear.

It's worth noting that you don't need to be alive while hunting MVPs to receive rewards. Simply being in the "dead spot" where the MVP is, you will be able to collect rewards.

Reward mechanism:

  • The party ranked 1st received the best prize.
  • All top 10 parties have a chance to get rare rewards (Cards and Headgear). The higher the rank, the higher the chance.
  • Ragnarok Origin also has an instant revive mechanism, which allows you to return to battle up to five times without having to return to distant spawn points.

Ranking Rules and Strategy for Top Team:

While ranking rules may not apply to all players, they are important for top tier teams aiming to achieve the highest damage output.

The rules you need to consider to get to the top of the rankings include:

  • MVP Defeat: Teams are ranked by damage dealt, damage taken, and healed. Points are awarded for each category.
  • First and last strike: The adventurer who deals the first and last attack on an MVP will receive bonus points.
  • Death: Points will be slightly deducted from your total score each time you die.
  • The point system is calculated as follows: Team Total Score = Sum of Three Categories (Damage Deal, Damage Taken, and Heal) + First Strike Points - Death Reduction

Here are the scores for each MVP:

  • The team that deals the most damage (Best DPS) - 40 points (Score decreases as rank gets lower)
  • The team that took the most damage (Best Tank) - 20 points (Score decreases as the rank gets lower)
  • The team that heals the most scores (Best Heal) - 15 points (Score decreases as the rank gets lower)
  • The team that deals First Strike - 4 points
  • The team that dealt the Final Strike - 8 points
  • Death - Death will reduce the small number of points, up to 5 points.
  • The final ranking is determined by the total score of each team. The higher your team's rank, the greater the chance of acquiring valuable cards and headgear.

Note: If a team member has already received Team Rewards five times, their total score will be deducted when calculating the final ranking after the MVP is defeated:

  • 1 member - down to 85%
  • 2 members - down to 70%
  • 3 members - down to 50%
  • 4 members - down to 20%
  • 5 members - down to 10%

MVP hunting is an important part of Ragnarok Origin's gameplay, offering players the opportunity to gain valuable resources for character advancement. By understanding the mechanics, participating in daily MVP hunts, and mastering the ranking rules, you can optimize the rewards you get and improve the overall gaming experience. Happy hunting!
