On last Sunday (3/11), the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) 2019 Southeast Asia Championship to determine the best team in Southeast Asia has ended. From 16 teams who participated in this event, RRQ Athena from Thailand managed to be the best.

In a total of 7 rounds competed on the second day of the competition, RRQ Athena managed to get 3x Chicken Dinner and 82 kills in total. With this achievement, RRQ Athena acquired 211 points or 23 point ahead of the other Thailook team, Illuminate, who was in the second rank.

Thanks to this achievement, RRQ Athena breaks the record to be the first team to win the PMCO SEA Championship twice in a row. In the series of streaks that took place in Indonesia, RRQ Athena also managed to come out to be the best.

In the tournament, which took place in Bangkok, Thailand, RRQ Athena was not the top team. In the preliminary round that took place in the mid of last month, RRQ Athena was only able to be on the 4th rank out of a total of 16 teams that were qualified for this final round.

The victory of RRQ Athena was very unexpected at the first day of the PMCO SEA Championship, RRQ Athena was only able to gain 28 kill points and also one Chicken Dinner from 7 rounds. This makes RRQ Athens have to settle to be in the fourth place at the end of the first day of the PMCO SEA Championship.

RRQ Arena begin to rise again on the second day during the first match on the same day, RRQ Athena managed to secure the second place. But RRQ Athena only performed crazily in the 10th, 11th and 12th rounds and successfully wiped out the Chicken Dinner in the third round.

With this result, RRQ Athena team and Illuminate automatically advanced to the Final round of Global PMCO which will take place in Malaysia on November 23 to December 1. Both of the teams will join the Yoodo Gank team, who will be the host team.

Besides the three teams mentioned earlier, there are still Mega Conqueror, Bigetron RA and Orange.Esport who are still struggling to advance to the final round of the Global PMCO by going through the preliminary round which will be held on November 23-25.

The Fate of Indonesian Teams

We must admit that at the PMCO SEA Championship event, the Indonesian esport teams failed to show their best game. From a total of five Indonesian teams that competed in this event, Evos got the highest rank by occupying the 5th rank at the end of the tournament with a decent number of kills despite always failed to win the Chicken Dinner.

Despite occupying the 5th rank, Evos failed to get automatic preliminary tickets. While Bigetron RA who is one position below Evos managed to get preliminary round tickets because in the middle preliminary round last month, Bigetron RA managed to come out to be champion.

Thanks to the achievements in the PMCO SEA preliminary round last month, Bigetron RA actually has a great opportunity to advance directly to the PMCO SEA Championship round because on their first day at the PMCO SEA Championship, Bigetron RA performed quite well and acquired 39 kills and also 2 Chicken Dinner. With a total of 97 points, Bigetron RA managed to be at the top of the standings on the first day.

However, on the second day Bigetron RA’s game seemed to decrease dramatically. Out of the 7 rounds competed on the second day, Bigetron was only able to add 19 kills without Chicken Dinner.

But this is not the end of Bigetron’s struggle. Hopefully this team will advance to the preliminary round and become Indonesia’s representatives in the search of the best PUBG Mobile team in the world.
